I always enjoy visiting Don Jose' when I'm in Homer. Good Mexican Food in a friendly setting. Good service.
Alaska is known for their seafood obviously and not for Mexican cuisine, but if you're a Southern Californian like my husband and I, we can't go very long without our Mexican food "fix". We've eaten at this restaurant each time we've visited Homer, and I...More
In no way can the food be considered authentic, fresh, or of high quality. Having been to this restaurant several times, I've realized that it is a waste of time and money. I suppose it is the only option for slightly Mexican style food in...More
We ate and drank at Don Jose's recently and it was delicious. Carla made the best margarita's. We had the calamari to start, best calamari ever. Dinner was also excellent. Burrito's were super. Great service. Plus our friends paid the bill, we'll treat them next...More

Our favorite place for Mexican in Homer. Always enjoy the tableside preparation of guacamole. Nice ripe avacados and your choice of ingredients to make it right just for you. Menu pretty standard and quality is reliable, though not spectacular. Good for your Mexican fix.
