Eating at the bus is one experience you will not want to miss! Eat freshly caught halibut, salmon, prawns, ling cod, and more prepared by the Simpson family. Must experience to appreciate

Stopped in here when exploring Hyder. great lady runs the bus, very chatty and friendly and been running it for 18yrs. ordered the halibut fish and chips, they catch it fresh daily...love halibut, and it was great. even was able to have a beer with my meal...tasty. Very funky and slow paced... perfect for when traveling and exploring. Cheers

We were in Hyder, AK in August 2016 and had a local recommendation to have lunch at The Bus. Absolutely wonderful! Had Halibut Fish and Chips with local beer. Fresh, plentiful and delicious! The Halibut was cooked to perfection, not like many places that have a small piece of fish coated in a ton of batter. Had a delightful chat... More

We stopped there on a rainy day. We had halibut fish and chips and it was excellent!!! Very good! Thank you! Would like to go again but on a sunny day to enjoy the area a bit more and to have more fish and chips.

We ate here because of other reviews recommend one should eat here. Those previous reviews were right! The owner, who is also the cook, makes all the dishes fresh & it has been some of the best tasting seafood I've ever eaten. I highly recommend for everyone visiting Hyder to eat at The Bus. We will definitely be back to... More

We were in the area for a few days and ate there twice. It isn't cheap but it was fresh. We got different size portions each time but even the smaller one was adequate to share. We met the fishermen also. We tried to get some fresh halibut to take home but it wasn't available until the boys went back... More

Not much was open in Hyder when we visited but the fish bus was busy the whole time we visited. The cook is also the server so be prepared to wait if she's busy. I had the mermaid chowder (with lots of fresh halibut) while my husband had the halibut and fries. Recommended

The bus is open 7 days a week not 6 like posted. Diana is the cook! Her husband Jim and sons Jimmy and Richie are the fisherman, so your always guaranteed fresh fish! The service is friendly. Diana runs the bus by herself and does an amazing job! I highly recommend the bus to everyone👍👍👍.

We stopped here on our side trip off the Cassiar Hwy. The service is friendly . The halibut fish and chips were excellent and reasonably priced. We got two large pieces of halibut and fries for 18$ We sat outside to eat and watched a hummingbird while we waited . If you are in a hurry don't stop here. They... More

We saw this restaurant while driving to Fish Creek and we decided to give it a try for dinner. Diane (the owner) has been here for 20 or so years cooking and serving from the bus. There is outside and inside seating, to sat outside. The Grilled halibut was just melt in your mouth delicious and very fresh. There is... More
