Start to finish, this is one of the best freshly prepared meals you could ask for. Every course was delicious. Service was amazing and the atmosphere is perfect! Absolutely recommend this place when visiting Bora Bora.

If you’re in Bora Bora and looking for a great dinner spot for 2, then La Villa Mahana is a must. Will give the disclaimer up front that it was a bit pricey – about $400 (USD) total for both of us, which included two...of the pre-fixes and a bottle of wine, but it was also one of the best meals we’ve ever had and the ambiance is very cute. The steak was flawlessly cooked – hands down one of the best we’ve ever tasted. We can see why this place can book up so quickly!More

We had an amazing dinner for our 25th anniversary and it was just phenomenal! My husband did the pre fixe (French version not the Polynesian version with the wine pairing and I just ordered the Risotto a La cadre. However, Damien sent out small plates...for me of what was husband was having (maybe so it wouldn’t feel awkward as he had courses that I wasn’t having) but it was a thoughtful touch. We are not fancy eaters so there were things I never would have tried (like foie gras) but that in particular was so delicious!! Risotto was to die for and the beef my husband got was amazing (I stole a bite) and he being the bigger meat eater who appreciates a great steak said it was the best he’s ever had!! Ended the meal with the chocolate ganache with incredible vanilla ice cream (who thought vanilla ice cream would be anything but “vanilla”!) - think chocolate lava cake on steroids! And a candle in my cake for our anniversary. Really really a wonderful setting and food and service!! Definitely go and definitely make reservations well ahead of time! Thank you Damien and staff!More

We had a great meal with friends. Everything was prepared well and the service was great. It’s not cheap—this is Bora Bora after all. But compared to other meals we’ve had while here it was by far the best.

Dinner with a friend. We both chose menu fix. One of us also did the pairing. The food was underwhelming and being kind here. The entrecote was dry and overcooked poorly seasoned, very bland and extremely salty raw tuna starter on top of cooked potatoe....The pairing of the wine was never explained. The best course was dessert and the side of coconut bread. They put plastic bottle (75cl) on our table and charged 15 Euro for one small plastic bottle of water (caraf water would have been nicer to look at). Final bill was 500 Euro for 2 people which is fine if the food was good-outstanding. The 15 Euro for the plastic bottle felt like a rip off. Sadly, I do not recommend this restaurant.More

We had the immense pleasure of dining at La Villa Mahana, and what an unforgettable experience it was! This hidden gem in Bora Bora unfolded a culinary journey that felt like a harmonious blend between an intimate chef’s table experience and a symphony of vibrant...flavors. Right from the start, the atmosphere embraced us with its warm and sophisticated charm, setting the stage for an extraordinary evening. We opted for the Exotic Prix Fix menu, making a few substitutions – a flavorful goat cheese and tomato tart and a creamy asparagus and truffle risotto. The flambéed banana dessert was a grand finale, each bite a crescendo of sweetness and euphoria – truly to die for! The accompanying wine pairings elevated each dish by highlighting subtle nuances and bold undertones. The service? Immaculate! The staff moved with a graceful dance of professionalism and warmth, their attentiveness enhancing the intimate ambiance without ever feeling intrusive. In conclusion, La Villa Mahana is more than just a dining spot; it’s a masterpiece of culinary artistry that has left a lasting imprint on our palates. Our evening here was a celebration of flavors that will forever resonate in our hearts and memories. If you’re looking for a truly exceptional dining experience in Bora Bora, La Villa Mahana is the place to be!More

I have to start by saying that one simply cannot stay in Bora Bora and not eat here. This restaurant is a pure gem. Location is a little bit hidden, but they offer a taxi pickup which is really practical. Once you are there you...can feel immediately the genuinity and the authenticity of the spot: a sort of old house remodeled to become a restaurant. We've chosen the full menu, with wine pairing. Simply UNBELIEVABLE! Every dish was prepared to the perfection, incredibly tasty. The cuisuine style is elegant-french, though with really strong local influences. The vanilly sauce was spectacular. The price tag is quite high, but I must say that rarely I was so convinced of the quality of the food and more than happy to pay how much it deserves. There are not many tables, so reservation is highly recommended.More

Went with a lot of expectations after reviewing all the reviews but was somewhat disappointed. We took the epicurean prix fix menu with wine pairing. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. The more disappointing part was that the two ladies serving there hardly conversed with,...just gave the food one after another, without explaining. The wine pairing was a huge mistake. They just brought the glasses but not the bottles, so we did not know what we actually got. Overall, it was not a memorable experience for us.More

When we told our friends we were coming to Bora Bora they said this restaurant was a must do- they were correct. We decided on the wine pairing with the fantastic courses that kept coming out of the kitchen. My favorites were the lobster risotto,...beef filet and amazing chocolate cake. The wine pairings were suburb. It’s really a lot of food and VERY rich food at that - come hungry. The only thing I would say is that the wait staff was very rushed and seemed flustered. It’s a very incredible experience I would return. Make sure you book this ahead of time the restaurant is small and all tables were full.More

We loved Villa Mahana. It was a lovely meal in a unique setting. You have the choice of two tasting menus and you can mix and match between the two. Beautiful raw tuna and mahi. Beef fillet with red wine vanilla sauce final course was...some of the best beef we’ve ever had. Highly recommend though expensive (minimum of 100 or 150 euros per person).More

Best restaurant in Bora Bora, period. While we love visiting French Polynesia for a number of reasons, great food is not one of them. Dining is super-expensive and often the experience is a let down. Not on this night. We had a wonderful dinner at...La Villa Mahana. We opted for the tasting menu with the wine pairings. I had Exotic, my wife had the 5 course one (forgot what it's called). My wife loves tasting menus and can be a bit of a picky critic, but she absolutely loved this restaurant. The tuna was fantastic, as was the mahi mahi. I love seafood and both were terrific. What really blew both of us away was the beef tenderloin and gnocchi. I've eaten a lot of great steaks in the US, and this was superb. Some of it has to be the quality of the beef, but also the preparation was awesome. I am not a food critic but really impressed to see such a great steak, especially in Bora Bora. Dessert was bananas flambe. My wife loved it. I was at that point too full to enjoy dessert. Paired wines leaned more white than red, which makes sense given the courses, but I prefer red and do not like champagne, so probably should have ordered a la carte. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and we would love to come back again in the future.More

Was told to dine here by fellow travelers. We sent an email one day before arriving in Bora Bora and I assumed we would not get a table. However I was delighted to learn we could sneak in on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant organized...picking us up and dropped off without us asking. Ok we aren’t in “Kansas” anymore. Dinner was very good. Great service and delicious food. My wife had the Exotic experience and I did the Epicurean. Both we’re delicious. I did the wine paring and found it to be perfect! If you find yourself heading to Bora this is well worth a visit!More
