Had lunch here after a walk on the beach - tasty homemade leek and potato soup with ham sandwiches, followed by a slice of homemade sponge cake and a coffee. All excellent quality and very good value. Will definitely be back next time we happen to be in Newport.

You are assured of great food and a nice setting. Popular with locals and tourists this is a superb little cafe with an interesting menu which will certainly wet your appetite. We are regular visitors to Pembrokeshire and have just come back from a ten day stay. We visited Blas at Fronlas twice during this break because it is so... More

Dog friendly place, there were art last five dogs in on the day we visited. We visited again, feeling sad that the previous owner, who we considered a friend, had succumbed to brain cancer, but the place was as popular as ever. The food is actually better under new management, not that there was anything wrng with the previous food,... More

Recently refurbished Blas offers great food with friendly service. Had the full Welsh and vegetarian breakfasts with coffees - all well cooked at a reasonable price. Good ambience. Will return and can recommend.

Called in here on market day (Monday) for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Hubby had the full Welsh breakfast with 2 poached eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and little vine tomatoes. Toast too. I had the veggie breakfast which was also delicious. Loved the decor with the Welsh carthens everywhere and plenty of local Welsh produce and crafts on offer. Quiet when... More

Called in for lunch. Chose the leek and stilton quiche and a chorizo quiche. Lovely and light and very filling. Pastry shell was very acceptable and the accompanying salads, bread and chutney were also very good. Will go again. With tea for two and the 2 meals I had change out of £20.

Had a nice, filling lunch at Blas - beautiful freshly baked bread with mushrooms and poached eggs. Half of the dish would have been enough but I still ate it all. Friendly, welcoming service with a sizeable patio area out back. Has a lovely cosy feeling to it and is open on Sundays!

Called in for coffee after walk on the beach. Very friendly and welcoming. Happy to allow our dog in as well. We ended up having Welsh cakes and scones as the cakes looked so good. Well worth a visit.

We stopped here for lunch and the food was so good we popped back for cakes later in the afternoon. The service is excellent - we arrived behind 4 other tables and were concerned that the food would be slow - it wasn't. The selection of food is good - it caters for children. The choice of food is perfect.... More
