The staff were friendly when we arrived. A great variety of choices on the menu for Mexican and American food. Salsa was good but only a small portion of chips. I had the chicken chimichanga . It was very tasty and a good portion. The restaurant was outdated in its decor.

Guess they had been real busy...but for a Mexican food restaurant they were out of chips... staff was under training.. salsa was made available only after asking a few times...food was edible, bill was wrong, and that is about all one can say... the poor mgr. was hassled about not being able to handle the volume of people that had... Jalapeno Poppers has moved ! We drove off the Interstate following the address on the GPS but had to turn around and then we found it a few meters from its original address, closer to the interstate exit. Their Green corn tamales and salsa are the best I have eaten so far. The Jalapeno poppers were good too. Portion size... More

Wednesday is dollar day. Better deal than fast food taco places! Waitress was pleasant. Free chips and salsa first fill. Two of us ate for ten bucks.

We were in town over night to go to the painted desert. We picked this place not knowing anything about it. The ambiance is definitely lacking but made up for by the food. Why someone would order American food in what is clearly a Mexican restaurant is beyond me. The chips and salsa were good. The salsa tasted fresh. The... More

We stopped in for breakfast which wasn't too bad. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and thought the green sauce tasted more like tomato sauce. I had the sausage skillet which was piping hot and sizzling as it came out of the kitchen. The sausage, eggs and potatoes were plentiful but could have used a bit more cheese. All in... More

Jalapeño poppers is in an older building I came to enjoy a hamburger by my buddy saying how great they were, I must say I was a bit disappointed in my meal I had the bacon cheese burger and the bacon was to tough to eat, my french fries were not all the way cooked, but I must say that... More

I had two tacos and they were OK. The rice and beans were good. My wife had a chicken chimichanga. The chimi was swimming in a brown gravy that tasted like it was pure green peppers. Too much so... The chips and salsa were the standard fare, nothing to brag about.

The food was ok, but they had no liquor license, so no chance for a Margarita to go with it. Pretty standard Mexican food.

I can't find a website for it, but it is a wonderful place. Perfect for someone looking for a small, authentic mexican restaurant.
