Great setting on a very attractive property. Service was good and the food tasty. Large areas for kids to range about, altogether a pleasant experience.

It's been a while since we were at Crossways and I've just realised why we stopped going there. It's a waste of time. I ordered sticky ribs and they were the worst ribs I've ever had, no basting sauce at all and tough, why call the dish sticky ribs. My wife's lamb dish was floating in oil as well as... More

Sunday breakfast with overseas friends was thoroughly enjoyed by all; lovely tasty twists on traditional offerings in a super country setting. Serving time too long though

Accepting that Sunday morning is busy we knew not too be hurried. But 1. Walked in and weren't seated despite 3 waitrons passing us. 2. Seated ourselves and waited 15 minutes for a menu despite a waitron promising to send them earlier. 3. Ordered 2 bowls of chips. Two were brought but was told that the other was being kept... More

This is a good place to have brunch. We went there on a Sunday and the place was jam packed. We did not have a reservation but since we got there late afternoon, we got a table right away. I do, however recommend making a reservation unless you don't mind waiting. A lot of locals were dining there and the... More

Excellent menu in a great country setting. Excellent for a family outing and mountain bike enthusiasts with various graded mtb trails starting from the restaurant. Be prepared to wait a while for your food but the wait is well worth it. Like they say 'you are on the farm so relax'.

I have always enjoyed Crossways and the ambience is still the same. The food is also delicious but oh my word ...the service is not good. We waited so long and our table wasnt cleaned untill we called our waitron to clean it

Had passed by on the N2 a few times, finally stopped. The breakfast was excellent! The atmosphere waa nice. Only down side was the seating...most tables have only benches and the few chairs are not very comfortable, so if your looking for a tasty breakfast they have it, if you are looking for a place to sit and talk for... Most enjoyable under the trees - superb pork belly, full of flavour marinated lamb chops and fresh ciabatta and spreads. Lovely surroundings and a most pleasant waitron called Augustine. Could not fault it and will definitely be back.

Had a Sunday lunch at the restaurant with a large group and enjoyed the meals. We ordered two VEG platters and was surprised at the pricing. For the price, did not think the value was very good in relation to what was offered. We also ordered two Margherita pizzas for which we were charged R 85 each. Rather expensive for... More
