Always feel welcome at this great place - wide variety of food with a good choice of vegetarian dishes - service friendly & efficient - food served at a leisurely pace which for us adds to its charm although some may think it slow? ...

When in Durban, one must definitely try true authentic Indian cuisine. Indian summer is the proper restaurant to experience delicious food. The mutton samoozas and deep fried cottage cheese are good starters to order. The Butter Chicken or Chicken Korma with Naan bread are my favourites! Try the Dosa if you want to experience a different Indian taste. They also... More

Was looking for a meal locally to where I was staying and saw this restaurant. Took a chance on it being any good as the outside was not that appealing. Staff greeted me with friendly courtesy and the place was clean and looked reasonable if not fashionable. The waitress we had was very helpful in choosing from the menu, knew... More

Always enjoy eating at this restaurant. We were there on the 15/01/2017 and as always the food is freshly prepared and tasty. We also enjoy their pani purie.

Took family visiting from overseas for what would have been a delightful Indian dinner. However, the manager/owner needs to learn some people skill as his attitude dampened the evening.

The service was awesome. All of them were friendly and tried to keep us informed at all times . Unfortunately after placing a order for 3 people at 19h50 and only being served food at 20h05 we were quite tired and fustrated. I believe this is the normal time to wait for food in this restaurant so it probably was... More

First impressions were not good. Service was a little slow, but then the starters arrive and it all changed. Try the little potato balls. Really nice to also try a platter of different tastes. The chicken lollipops are also well worth it. In fact, there is a danger that the starter's are too big and you will regret ordering mains... More

Indian Summer always provides the best meals and service possible. My family and I have been supporting this restaurant for years and we have never been disappointed. The butter chicken curry is always good and the masala dosa is even better! There is a variety of indian street foods to snack on as well. The chef and owner Anand is... More

After all the good feedback from friends and family,we decided to celebrate my dad's birthday here with a family lunch. What an absolute disappointment! We waited ages for the food to arrive, the service was terrible and the bathrooms definitely weren't clean. The food itself was fine...but we'd waited such a long time for our orders to arrive, that some of us had even... Being a Capetonian, finding a decent Indian restaurant can be a problem - when you want authentic flood! When we are in Durban INDIAN SUMMER is the place - The food is good, the service excellent, but most of all the pricing is very reasonable. And you know the food is good when Indian people patronise the place- that's the... More
