Excellent bar and grill restaurant with views over the Indian Ocean. Engaging and highly efficient staff. I recommend the Cape (white) Salmon - delicious. I hope to find an excuse to revisit the Oyster Box before too long.
The Oyster Box location is unrivalled for spectacular coastal scenery. Throw in a lighthouse, the choice of dining inside or out and you can't ask for a better location. The selection of food is very good as is the selection of wine, beer and spirits....More

A good selection of curries for lunch on the buffet....accompanied with an assortment of hot breads...Dessert was disappointing....the chef needs to be trained in the art of making kheer and gulab jamuns. Overall...not too bad.
This is still one of the great places in Umhlanga to eat and drink, with one of the greatest views in the area. The staff are courteous and helpful. Be sure not to miss the champagne breakfast with oysters.
