A wonderfully cozy atmosphere coupled with excellent service, delicious food, an impressive wine selection and great company - the perfect combination for a celebratory lunch with friends! From steamed edamame beans with sea salt to sushi platters, compliments to the brilliant chef! We'll be back in no time...

We have had dinner here several times and the food has always been excellent and of high standard. Tucked away behind the Rockwell Hotel this is a secret gem. From starters to sushi to classic Japanese dishes, the quality is really good and the food simply delicious! Well worth a try. Prices are also reasonable. Great service from the waiters!

This place has very good ratings but unfortunately my experience was not 4/5. The service was very good, the outside eating was fine, but the quality of the food was unfortunately very ordinary. I prefer authentic Japanese food as opposed to Japanese food changed to suit the local pallet, which is why I chose this place. With a truly Japanese... More

We heard good things about this restaurant but were disappointed. Tempura was not good. Too much batter, small shrimp. The sushi were so so. Yakitori was good.

Truly the Best Sushi in South Africa. The owner is on site and take personal pride in each masterpiece that leaves the kitchen. Each and every dish we tried was exceptional.

Using fresh ingredients that are masterfully crafted into unique works of culinary art, celebrated sushi master Arata Koga brings Japan to Cape Town. From simple, but top quality tuna sashimi, to tempura unagi rolls, every mouthful bursts with umami. For those who don’t like sushi, nothing beats the crispy bang bang prawns! Remember to order sake.

Great meal, fast service, friendly staff and a hidden gem. Great value for money and sushi so fresh and tasty. Come back time and time again. Their bento box special at lunchtime is really fantastic and so filling.

Some of the best sushi I've had in Cape Town. The beautiful and atmospheric restaurant and courtyard is magical on summer evenings. Authentic Japanese experience that will leave you dreaming of sushi for days.

Best sushi in Cape Town with absolutely excellent staff who will do their best to accommodate you if asked for something off menu. I can't recommend the restaurant more highly and I definitely want them to prosper so I can keep coming back.

Thank Lin P
