meer en dal is the breakfast place near Durbanville. A very clean well organized restaurant in the most beautiful scenery. The yoghurt and muesli is what i love here not to forget the egg Benedict! The whole restaurant is luxery decorated, go to the toilets for examples. Meer en dal is famous for cycling tournamants and weddings. Love this place... More

The Kingklip and desserts were delicious but you have a very limited wine list for a wine farm. The service was great and we enjoyed the lunch. Might visit again.

Overlooking immaculate vineyards and beautiful vistas, this is a must-see for local mountain bikers and tourists. Fine, award-winning wines. A special experience. Well done, Team Meerendal

Food was very average, desserts nothing awesome or wow... service was poor... the chef and waitron didn't know the difference between mint sauce and mint jelly!? Juices were refreshingly nice on this beautiful summers day!

It's so disappointing when beautiful venues like Meerendal fail to capitalize on their opportunity. Abominable service, mediocre food which is massively overpriced for what it is and a general air of chaos pervades specifically on days like today when the CY market is also on. Simple things like bathrooms which are not regularly cleaned, a jumping castle for the kids... More

Sunday afternoon booking for 9 people at 1pm. - We had to wait for our table due to the breakfast guests not being finished in time. - Service extremely slow. - Food average and extremely over priced R740 for 3 people. No alcohol involved. -Toilets dirty, floors flooded and basin drains blocked. The CY market was on and clearly a... More

I organised a women's day lunch for the family at Carlucci's After a half hour went past we were informed that the wine we ordered was not available. We bought wine at the cellar and struggled to find an ice tea for my 80 year old mother. After another hour we got to place our order but after another hour... More

We visited the The Crown restaurant at Meerendal for lunch after a quite a search for a laid back casual dining restaurant. What a wonderful spot - although a good 45 minute trip from our starting point Milnerton - it was worth the trip . located in the heart of the wine lands in Durbanville , it is completely child friendly... Stunning lawns, big jumping castle for the kids. The service was very slow and there were so many flies everywhere! The food (burger & wedges) was good enough, but rather pricey at R110 per burger. The wine tasting was excellent, with the pourer being well informed and stopping at our table more frequently than our waiter. The restrooms were spacious... More
