We ate there with friends during our short stay in Buenos Aires. It had bee recommended as a really good steak restaurant by the tour guides. The evening we were there they must have been living on their past reputations but we all found it wanting. Nice dining space with a great terrance overlooking the river but that was where... More

The ambience is very nice on the water. Restaurant is clean. The wine list is a very diverse selection of Argentinian wines. The menu is poorly written as a translation of cuts of meat. I ordered what they called a porterhouse and was served a very tough sirloin steak. The waiter who is studying to be a sommelier knew only... More

Title says it all. I'll offend some, but no beef is better than US Kansas City Aged beef. Argentina doesn't have that. Disclaimer done, this was very good. Had the Chateaubriand. It was good, not great. And there was plenty of it. No béarnaise or other sauces. So a little disappointing. Appetizers were on the house and outstanding. I'm not... More

The service was slow. The menu had a good steak selection. The meals were flavorful and nicely presented. We loved the location but beware of the added cost to your wallet.

i am giving them 3 stars because of their service. Marcelo did a phenomenal job making me feel welcomed and at home. Waited way too long for my steak. The meat was ok for Argentinian standards but if you are looking for quality and experience, i would definitely recommend Cabana las Lilas.

A great steak restaurant in a great setting. The Chorizo sausage and black pudding were all good as well as the steak tartare. The steak tartare was deconstructed for presentation purposes and you had to mix all the ingredients yourself at the table. I prefer they mix it in the kitchen as bits tend to fly off the plate onto... More

The restaurant is located in Puerto Madero very close to a well known restaurant Cabana Las Lilas. We ate at the restaurant the first night in BA after a long flight from the US. The restaurant is decent. The food is good and the service is average. I would go to other restaurants in the area if I had a... More

Went here for lunch - lots of great meat dishes but if you wanted to go lighter, they served some excellent meal size salads and breads for lunch. Get a spot outside if there is room. Nice views while you enjoy your meal.

Description
LA CABAÑA is the most traditional restaurant in Buenos Aires. Established in 1935, it serves the best Argentine beef on the grill accompanied by excellent wine, a menu that turned La Cabaña into a source of inspiration for local cooking and that has been widely replicated all over the town.We invite you to enjoy any of our grilled beef cuts and, if you are willing to wait for an hour, you can have a unique experience tasting our classic "Great Baby Beef" - we suggest you do, savoring a glass of wine and in nice company. You do not get to know the purest Argentine cuisine without visiting our restaurant.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
