We were in Buenos Aires for less than a day on a fast and furious visa processing trip from Chile. So with little time and inclement weather (wow, did it rain!) our options to do something that would give us a good feeling about the city were limited. Serendipitously we lucked upon La Brigada. It was early afternoon and we... More

Best meat ever. Little pricey, and slow service... but food was perfect! You must try it! And it was perfect grilled.

La Brigada has always been one of my favorite steakhouses in Buenos Aires. It was always a little loud and one always feels as though they are sitting on top of each other because the tables are so crammed in. However, I was always able to overlook those inconveniences for the charm and dedication to the passion of the carnivore.... More

La Brigada was recommended to us by some friends as "the" place in San Telmo to enjoy a truly Argentinian asado. We were all so disappointed with all aspects of this experience that walked away with the worse posible opinion of the whole visit. To begging service was terrible, the only worse thing was the attitude of all the personal... More

We come to Buenos Aires more or less every year, and when we go to San Telmo, we never missed to eat at La Brigada. Last time was three or four years ago, and we went again there last December. It has changed a lot. Most of the people were tourists, and the waiters didn't really care of them. Our... More

I went there follow an app indication! The environment is really nice! They have many jerseys from Football`s (Soccer) team around the world! The food is so tasteful but the price is a little expensive!

We had a delicious steak dinner at La Brigada, which a family member had recommended. We were not disappointed at all! The steak was one of the best we ever had and is presented by the waiter who cuts it with a fork and spoon to show you the center of the steak. Wait staff is excellent and very attentive.... More

I was taken here by a colleague and the whole restaurant is an experience, covered in sporting memorabilia and pictures of famous visitors the layout is worth exploring. The menu has all of your traditional parilla favourites such as mollejas, intestines, chorizo, morcilla and of course steak and lots of choices. The wine menu is also packed full of good... More

There are plenty of good and excellent places in Buenos Aires for good meat, but this place remains special. Excellent meat, top local wines and great athmosphere, for me the best reasons to return each time I visit B-A.

We enjoyed great steaks and the collection of soccer memorabilia. We enjoyed the lomo tail, ribeye, and wild boar and empanadas. All were excellent. Service was slow paced, but attentive.

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
