Had to wait a bit for a table, but was given a drink while we waited. Waiter was very good & entertaining. We shared 2 massive steaks & some salads between five of us and three bottles of wine and paid the equivalent to $45 NZ dollars. You cannot eat & drink that cheaply where I am from. Such an... More

I am Argentinian, born and raised in Buenos Aires. I went to La Cabrera end of December 2016 as is highly regarded as the best steak house in Buenos Aires and wanted to take some European friends to try real Argentinian steak. Need to say the design and set up of the restaurant is really nice, service is excellent and... More

La Cabrera Norte and Sur are located across the street from each other I think we went to La Cabrera Norte (but it was clearly the one they send Americans to, although maybe it was just that we had 6 people and the other restaurant is smaller) The portions are really enormous but the steaks are pretty good. I just... More

This place is one of the best in BA, which I have visited. Food is really good, everything is so big, you can share it without any problem. It is a more expensive, but it worth it. Recommend for sure. You can't make mistake with order, so I'll not suggest you what to order.

The place is very nice and cheerful. We were here for dinner and had a tasting menu. We enjoyed everything, from the provoleta to the chorizo, to the outstanding steaks. Great wine too. Overall, strongly recommended. One small thing, though: waiters should not emphatically announce "my service is NOT included" when delivering the check.

The meal was average at best. Beef quality and preparation was not at the expected standard. Service standards lacking, slow and forgetful of even the simplest request. In short for this price point there are other restaurants that are much better in Buenos Aires.

We went for a family lunch with my Argentinean extended family, actually my husband used to go over there many times, so he had tried before and he was a little bit disappointed about quality food and service. Place is very nice, decoration and style in a good neighborhood! We ordered 3 different types of meat to try something special... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this adorable restaurant. Family of four. We ordered two steaks and two salads - typically we have a gigantic appetite for steak and it was a huge amount of food - we suggest you SHARE STEAK AND ONE SALAD MAX PER FOUR PEOPLE. If you are used to American Caesar salad we suggest passing on this, as their... More

Steak was fantastic but do not order any sides! Apart from the steak being massive - they also bring around free side dishes so there's no point ordering any sides as they are overpriced. We ordered a salad but then were given a free salad. The salad we paid for was just a bowl of lettuce with a little tomato... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
