To be honest, I went by 1:30 PM, maybe not the right time to enjoy the place as a pub. I got a seat at the bar, and they just dropped a plate, fork, knife, and the "specials" menu. Anyway, I managed to get an excellent coffee and a "Tullamore Dew." The decoration is beautiful, but you will find items... More

I am very glad to say I've spent so many fun nights listening to good traditional Irish music bands and having great beer the way it is supposed to be... draught, with loud friends and singing old tunes. I don't know if that is the way it still is, but my fair warning to all is, this is a real... More

Friendly pub offering food. Great atmosphere, friendly barmen, nice place to have a bite to eat or pre-dinner drinks. Food very good and reasonably priced.

Dear cezaryfree: I work at the Druid In and I have to tell you that maybe you "misunderstood" what it really happened during the last St. Patrick´s Day. First of all, your girlfriend went to the counter and orderd two pints of beer. She paid as she was served and then demanded in a "friendly way" for a free pint... More

It happened that we visited Buenos Aires during St Patrick festival. Very excited we headed on to one of Irish Bar in Town - 'Druid in'. My friends went to order the drink and enthusiastically said to the bartender that she is Irish and she was happy to celebrate her birthday in the Irish Pub on the 17 March. The... More

It is located in the middle of the pub area in Bs. as downtown, near Killkenys and Downtown Matias. Good alternative to have a quick lunch and go back to work they offer a good price/quality menu! Service is really low though.

Popped in here on evening for a beer and some simple food and it hit the mark, was a bit quiet, but nice staff, good service and you can enter it from 2 streets

I've been visiting this place for maybe fifteen years now. Despite of lots of new restaurants in the area, it is still one of my choices to have a break, outside of the noise of Reconquista othe options. Food is good, prices are more than reasonable, service tends to be fast and relatively warm (vs other no-so-good experiences in the... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
