We enjoyed the food, we were able to enjoy our company while we ate and then had very good entertainment. It was a very nice experience.

Excellent service from waiters. Dinner was very good, with several alternatives to choose from. The teacher’s comic show made us laugh out loud and listening to the baritone from the Colon Theater was extraordinary. Finally, adding songs “that we all know” at the end seemed...like and excellent way to end a wonderful night. Thanks Positano team!More
The place is focused on the show, which is quite good. Other than that, the service is poor due to the lack of personnel (only 2 waiters for many tables). The food is average to poor. One note on Covid 19: the place is crowded...and doesn’t open its windows. It made us feel uncomfortable.More
We were a group of 4, who had called ahead to book a table (this is a must, or it will be very unlikely for you to get in the premises)! My husband had planned this restaurant as a surprise for us, and we had...no idea there was going to be performances by opera singers and a comedian at the dinner. The venue itself is a bit secretive. You couldn't see the interior of the restaurant from the outside - all blinds were drawn. There was already a group of people gathered in front of the restaurant when we arrived, but the door was locked. Not long after, a lady appeared at the door with a list and started calling out names (reminds me of my headmistress!!) of those who had called ahead to reserve tables . Once your name is called, you and your group are allowed through the door into the "secretive" restaurant. Inside, we were greeted with a very artistic and grand decor - chandeliers and such. There wasn't any stage, just tables. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive. They came with menus and suggestions. I think it was a 3-course dinner and the singers started performing (coming down from the stairs - all very dramatic and atmospheric!!) between the 2nd and 3rd course. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very unique, the crowd was very responsive and friendly towards us, when they found out that 2 of us do not speak Spanish (through the very entertaining comedian). Overall, we had an unforgettable night. The performance was of a very high standard, and I am sure we would have to pay more to watch a similar performance in a theatre (minus the food and drinks!). All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I can highly recommend a meal here if you are in Buenos Aires.More
We are very honoured by your comments and it is a pleasure you have enjoyed the whole night! We hope you have had a lovely stay in our city and hope to have you again some other time! Kind regards
I was there on New Year's Eve. The food was fantastic, the attention superb and the show....INCREDIBLE ! Even when I'm not an "opera lover", I can tell you that you'll be moved by their voices. And even the comedian at the end was fabulous....Highly recommended.More
Thank you so much for coming on such an important evening! It is a pleasure to introduce this theme to non-lovers of opera!
What an amazing evening! The entertainment was spectacular. The opera singers were amazing! Although we didn't understand the Spanish-speaking comedian, he appeared to be very funny. The food was delightful, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I want to give a special shout-out...to Rocio, the marketing manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything went well for my husband and me at this wonderful event. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have come. Thank you for making our visit to Argentina so special, especially on Christmas!More
Thank you so much! It is a pleasure to welcome foreign guests, especially for such an important evening. We hope you can visit Argentina again soon!
If you are in Buenos Aires, please, please do not loose this wonderful spectacle. In any country of the world this lirica voices will cost you over 500 hundred dollars, and you will not find it easily. Here in Buenos Aires they had to have an...open mind to survive. This kind of spectacles is over the top and they have a wonderful sense of inventive. , plus you can dinner with charmMore
Thank you for your review! It is a pleasure to share our Opera dinners with people who are new to Buenos Aires. We hope you have had a wonderful trip!
Last Sunday afternoon, I went to have tea with a group of friends. The announcement was impressive: Venetian atmosphere with opera singers (soprano & tenor) accompanied by a presenter as entertainers. What else can you ask for? But, reality turned my expectations into frustration. To...start with: unwilling waiters, service was less than poor, the price astronomically high. We even had to wait a long time to pay! A clap for the presenter! Never again!More
We appreciate you took the time to leave us a comment, although we truly regret you had a disappointing experience. We have a very good staff, they are usually charming and paying attention to every detail. In addition, we try to offer a wide variety...More
As Opera Lovers, we visited the place since we considered it an interesting experience, to have dinner as we heard opera arias. We were not disappointed. The singers were good, plus a stand up comedy presentation, plus interpretations of several 70s and 80s songs. Food...is OK, fixed menu with options. I highly recommend the experience.More
Thank you so much for your review! It is a pleasure to surprise our guests every weekend...
The place is magical! Ever since we arrived and the people with the masks welcomed us, and when entertaining us while we ate, people have always been wonderful and made us feel special. The food was excellent but the best part was the show that...made me feel as if I was in the opera. The comic show was very funny! I would definitely go back and share the experience with my loved ones.More
Thank you very much for your kind review! We hope to have you here again soon!
The food Is OK. But what is interesting is that they sing arias from operas while you dine. When I went they were professional opera singers not the waiters. It is best to make a reservation
Hello! Thank you very much for your review. Definitely, our main event is the singing and we do have amazing Opera performers from Argentina. We hope to have you again soon! Regards
Every time I visited Buenos Aires I also visited the Positano Lírico. They are open from Friday to Sunday and after the dinner (regular) you will assist to a good bel canto show. A different experience!
We think it was an excellent choice. the dishes were delicious , maybe the food was a bit little. but very tasty. The service was excellent because the waiters and waitress were nice and helpful . The shiow was excellent and varied that catered for...different people, it was moving , entertaining and also funny. A fantastic combination of actiing ,singing , magic tricks and dancing The singers , the presenter, the magician and the dancer were superb. I strongly recomend the restaurantMore
Is not easy to describe such a wonderful experience, that goes beyond a good restaurant with a show. First of all, the menu offered is very good. Since the very moment you get there you are surprised by the setting and the costumes of the...personnel who greet you. The pace of the service allows plenty of time to enjoy the meal, and make conversation with your party. But the show is the most distinctive aspect of Positano: both the liric singers, solos and chorus, the participation of the patrons, singing popular songs, and the stand up, everything was excellent. If you are in Buenos Aires is a must go.More
I went to Positano Lirica after hearing enthusiastic recommendations from a relative who lives in Buenos Aires and does not go to so-so places. He goes to the best. I took a friend of mine with her two daughters, and they had also been in...Positano previously, and had loved it. When we arrived, we were greeted by a masked (Venetian type) guy who checked our reservation. We were taken to a table next to the window. The chairs felt uncomfortable as soon as I sat down. A harried waitress told us we needed to choose our main course and dessert, since the first course was the same for all the guests. We did so and she left. After 45 minutes of waiting and watching everybody else around us get served, even the second course, I stood up and asked for our first course. A plate with 3 small mozzarella balls, 2 small roll ups of mystery meat (ham?), a couple of tiny cheddar cheese squares (Cheerio sized), and 2 (TWO!) olives, plus a couple pieces of grilled red pepper arrived. I asked: "is this for 4 people". The harried waitress said, oh, Ok. I will bring you another plate. It was as they were hoping that we would take the one plate and they could skate by just with that. They brought the other plate promptly (same contents, a little biger ham). After that, they brought the main courses, very unevenly served. Some of us had a pool of sauce and the pasta drowning in it, and others was practically dry. The show started. The music overpowered the singers (one male, one female) who were kinda past their prime, especially the male singer. I wanted to take pictures with the phone and was approached by another waiter telling me I couldn't film. I understand that, but I was taking pictures, and so was everybody else. The music was very loud, the singers were not. Then, the comic part started, a man dressed as a Sevillana woman came in. He was the best part and he was funny just sometimes. We had some laughing moments but most of it was...a smile. I am born and raised in Argentina, and came to the States only in 1991, so I understand the language, the slang and the nuances. The dessert was plunked in front of us. The waiting between acts was boring, the acting between the two singers was very forced and not believable. All in all, a big disappointment. For $600 (Argentinian Pesos) I could have taken my guests to eat at a far better restaurant and had a better time.More
