We went to here and we're told by the owners of la cabrera that it closed about a year ago! So no great Italian for us :(. Had a little walk around the surrounding area which had plenty of amazing restaurants to try.

If you happen to be in Palermo area in Buenos Aires, go and visit this restaurant. The food is good an prices are acceptable. While being on a business trip in Buenos Aires, one of my colleagues took me there and we had an excellent dinner, plus a 30% off because they could not reserve the table we wanted and... More

No skimping here on either quality or quantity of ingredients. Lots of variety in the antipasti bar. Yes, it's a bit small but it is brightly lit and decorated in bright yellows so it doesn't feel cramped. There's the feel of small family Italian restaurants, maybe a brighter version of some Little Italy NY joints. In addition to antipasti, we... More

We are not fans of think pizza loaded with cheese and onions which seems to be quite the norm here in BA. We came across this restaurant by default as the place we meant to go had a 1.5 hour wait. Do to extreme group hunger and the lack of desire to walk more we went to this place next... More

Really enjoyable experience in Buenos Aires for a crispy thin crust pizza and homemade pasta. It packs in every night and doesn´t take reservations so you might expect a wait. It´s worth it though!

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, but they had not actually eaten there, some other hotel guest had and liked it. We didn't. The hostess seemed like she was from another planet. The restaurant was empty, but seated us in a table that was directly in the passage so every person coming by bumped into my chair. The... More

This was just a great dining experience, I found this restaurant by pure chance, after a long walk checking out Palermo. Fantastically generous, lots of extras of all sorts were offered to me gratis (so many the mind boggles...), and very attentive service. I sat outside, a great place take in the atmosphere of the area. Probably the only downside... More

Fairly new, and by the same owners as La Cabrera steakhouse, this is their pasta joint. the pasta is great, fresh and delicious, the waiters are attentive. The complimentary tid bits and treats are a plus!

Marcelina&Garcia might be on the pricy end of the Buenos Aires restaurant scene, but it is well worth the price. The dishes are abundant and very very tasty and before you know it, you will be rolling out of the restaurant wishing you hadnt eaten that much. Take very seriously the suggestion on the menu that the dishes are big... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
