We visited Italy 3 times last year and enjoyed lots of delicious food (including at a fine Michelin restaurant). But the food at Cucina Paradiso was some of the best we've had at any Italian food we've had anywhere! The setting reminds me of a deli with white marble tables arranged very close to each other. In the deli case there are trays of homemade pasta in interesting shapes.. Unfortunately, the menu is in Spanish and Italian only. Our server did her best to translate but in the end we asked her to choose 2 of her favorite dishes for us. Wow! The ravioli stuffed with lamb ragout was outstanding; the pasta with mushroom sauce - well, I can't find words to describe how delicious it was. We enjoyed our meal so much we went back for lunch again before flying home. Hats off to the chef (who I understand is from Sardinia.) And thank you to Martin from Say Hueque who recommended this fine restaurant!

Donato Di Santis is the owner and a noted culinary artist who is famous in Argentina. This unpretentious local eatery offers the very best, authentic Italian cuisine. The menu is diverse, portions are large, staff is most attentive, prices are inexpensive, and specialty items are available for purchase to go. The balsamic vinegar is out standing, and even drinkable.

Our driver/guide recommended this place for pastas. My family ordered a few options that were very good especially with tomato base. But I ordered the pesto base which was bitter, bland, and completely tasteless and inedible. I could not east more than a few bites. Even the bruschetta was very bland, no salt or seasoning. Very inedible. Quite disappointing. However, the desserts were amazing. We ordered the brownie and ice cream, it was so so delicious! I would say if you go, get the dishes that are known for being tasty.

The food was great, just like when we used to go to the little Cucina Paradiso in Palermo. But the service was terrible. After our appetizer, they took away our cutlery and didn't bring new ones for the main course. The chef had to remind the waiters, even though I had already asked. One waiter, trying to be funny, only gave cutlery to my husband and son. I had to ask for mine while the waiters stared and laughed. We would have stayed for dessert and coffee if the service had been better. Instead, we asked for the check and paid - without leaving a tip, of course.

Obnoxious service and a very lousy plate of pasta - for which they repeatedly attempted to DOUBLE-charge me!! I ordered the pasta of the day, and got a bowl of pasta with zero sauce. As such, it was inedible. So I chose to take it home instead, buy some sauce, and eat it at home. I paid my bill. Then I went inside to buy some sauce and asked to pay for that. However, the manager automatically charged me for the sauce AND AGAIN for the pasta that I had already paid for at my table! He didn't bother to ask me if I was paying for both, or just the sauce (I had said to him that I wanted to pay for the sauce and held up the package of the sauce to him!). He ignored me, so I repeated. I repeated to the woman beside him at the check-out. But she also wanted to charge me again for the pasta that I'd already paid for. There was a big mess, all because no-one actually listened to what I said - I was paying for the sauce, nothing else. But they wanted to grab as much money from me as possible and automatically double-charge me for the pasta! Wow - just stop this!! All this fuss and money-grabbing from a customer - even though I told them exactly WHY I was buying the sauce - because the pasta dish that they'd served me was very dry and thus inedible. So I've told them that the food was crap, yet they were only focused on grabbing more money from me and DOUBLE-charging me for this crap food! This is awful, and reflects really badly on this restaurant. I've had bad service before at this restaurant. But with this, it's time to stop my regularly visits. (NB: this is for the Cucina Paradiso in Palermo Soho.)

Trying the restaurant of the famous chef, Donato. Located in the very busy Palermo area. A small place but with a cozy area on the sidewalk.

This restaurant has many locations. I went to the one on Armenia in Palermo Soho. It was DELICIOUS! Favorite meal in BA for 2 weeks. Best fresh pasta outside of Italy.

This little Italian restaurant is a gem! All the dishes we had were authentic to the cuisine with the pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Everything from the service to the food to the wine was spot on. Our party of three sampled various dishes and none were disappointed. Great spot for a great meal!

Okay, unbelievably great Italian food. Of course, with a bazillion Italian immigrants, you'd expect lots of great Italian food. This is a TINY, non-touristy restaurant in the Palermo neighborhood. Most of the pastas are fresh. And mmmmm desserts! I drank a half bottle of a Torrontés (one of my favorite white wines).

Love the chef/owner of this place Donato De Santis. Went for lunch with my family, so we ordered different dishes and tried a little bit of each. The appetizer had burrata with Eggplant that was sweet and prosciutto, it was a really good combination. The main dishes were a giant ravioli with and egg inside, another one was spaghetti with meatballs, spaghetti with pesto sauce and lasagna. All were delicious and you see them making them, so they’re fresh. The desserts we ordered were cannoli, ricotta cake, gelato and tiramisu. The tiramisu is amazing.

We had just landed after a 12 hour flight, dropped our bags at the hotel and asked at reception what they would recommend- cucina was buzzing but we waited for a table and it was worth waiting for. Beautiful pasta al funghi and black truffle and vegetable pasta with pesto. Great buzzy local vibe and very authentic Italian food. Lovely tiramisu and the best negroni I’ve had in years

One of the best meals I've had in Argentina. Authentic Italian cuisine, well prepared and using excellent ingredients. Far superior to the usual flaccid pasta on offer at most other restaurants in the region and bursting with flavour.
