Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had ravioli in a supposed pink sauce ,but it was more of a soup ,no flavor at all , I really don’t understand how people can consider this an Italian restaurant ,I must believe that most of reviewers, have not clue of what Italian food...is .very disappointed more so then others presumed Italian restaurants outside ItalyMore

We were searching for Italian in the Abasto neighborhood on TripAdvisor. Based on proximity and positive reviews we picked this place— what a gem!! It is the type of place where the waiters warmly greet everyone with handshakes and kiss the regulars of which there...seemed to be many. Warm bread and beef empanadas are placed on the table shortly after we were seated. We started with the grilled provolone which sounded a little odd but was absolutely delicious—- a round thick slab grilled with spices just enough to melt but still maintain firmness. For entree we ordered the homemade pasta bolognese. This was cooked to perfection— just slightly past al dente, delicious red meat sauce with flavor but not cloying sweetness. A condiment dish of peppers in oil was placed on our table. We added this to the pasta for a little extra kick. Be warned- this was spicy! To end it, we got the tiramisu—- light, just the right sweetness and totally yummy. Everything we ordered was a single order but so large that the waiter suggested everything should be shared. The regulars around us all seemed to know this already. All this food and a bottle of wine ran about $40 USD. It was a memorable meal in BA!More

A true porteño restaurant, If you like to discover how porteños really live and eat. We started with amazing char d croquettes and shared amazing seafood pasta. Delicious, fresh seafood, home made pasta. Ended with a perfect tiramisu. All shared, because portions are big. Very...friendly and polite team. What else?More

Very good food, and service, but so crowded that is not comfortable. Very italian with people talking loud. You need to make reservations if you do not want to queue.

Spending a month in BA, I was waiting to get to Arturito after reading reviews about the place, and it delivered. Classic Argentinian restaurant, including the ridiculous cover charge, with great portions of food, and good wine for a decent price. I order as a...starter a salad with 4 ingredients and it was huge. Service was excellent, and i think it helped that i got there early in BA terms (8PM), because I was there by myself then, and the restaurant was full when i left an hour later, with people waiting.More

This place is amazing, classic family Italian restaurant with a very diverse menu and options for every palate. Portions are huge and to share, particularly the tiramisu that can easily be shared by 3. Service is amazing, waiters look after every detail and make you...feel welcome and taken care of. Finally, the wine menu is extensive and has options for every budget.More

4 days Buenos Aires and 2 evenings at this place: Delicious pasta, friendly service, reasonable prices! The portions are so big that you share one bowl! We also shared the tiramisu and it was amazing! When you love italien food, you should go there and...enjoy the argentinian interpetation of it!More

We followed the recommendation of our waiter to order the "baby goat" special and were not disappointed. He told us one dish would serve both of us, and I'm so glad we didn't try to order anything else! It was absolutely huge, could have even...fed three people at a stretch. The meat was beautiful - falling off the bone - and the potato fries that came with it were equally delicious. We shared a flan with afterwards; this was a little disappointing but saved by the always-reliable dulce de leche served with it! Seriously considering going back again tonight.More

This place was exactly what I was looking for. A typical Buenos Aires restaurant with "real" waiters, large menu with tasty dishes and large, large servings. Prices are normal but remember that you can save money by sharing. I ordered frog legs and I've got...the largest serving ever. It was delicious too. I totally recommend this restaurant with "bodegón" kind of ambience... Enjoy!More

My girlfriend and I spontaneously visited the place and it was empty at the beginning (normal around 9 pm in Buenos Aires). After like 30 min the place got fuller with locals - which was really great. Bife Chorizo and chicken breast was really good...and portions are huge. The waiter even recommended to take only 1 salad instead of 2 because portions would be big - and he was fully right! Absolutely recommended.More

Really traditional Buenos Aries neighbourhood restaurant, filled with older locals at 11pm on a Sunday night. Not-young waiters were lovely and i was amazed that they had wifi. Enormously long menu. Steak was a bit tough and pumpkin ravioli drowned in cheese sauce but we...enjoyed the setting.More

Great food. Great service. Great recommendations. Beef de chorizo is the best. Stay away from the deep fried calamari. Good vine selection. In a good neighbourhood. Deff recommend this place. We had a nice romantic late dinner. Plus they give you a magnet when you...leave so that was really good.More

We chose this restaurant because of the Trip Advisor reviews and because it was close to our apart-hotel. What a great choice! Nice classic decor, friendly staff, efficient service and great food. We were the only tourists there, the others were mostly local couples or...families with well-behaved children. We chose to share a tomato and mozzarella appetizer, it came with fresh basil leaves and a bottle of good olive oil. Then we each ordered a main course: three pasta dishes and a milanese scallopini. Our waiter told us it would be too much and suggested we share the scallopini and only two pasta dishes. Boy, was he right! It was more than enough, and sharing let us taste more than just one dish. The pasta is a bit overcooked (I guess it's their Spanish heritage that shows here) but the stuffing and the sauces were creamy, tasty, just divine. The prices are more than reasonable, under 100$ for the four of us, including a bottle of good wine, two of water, the appetizer, the mains and coffee. We recommend it.More

Came here based on other Trip Advisor reviews. It lived up to its expectations with quick service, fantastic, fresh Italian homemade pasta. We were the only tourists in the restaurant! Left stuffed full and a bottle of Malbec down for only 300 peso with tip...included. Highly recommended for great food, however not exactly the vibe for a night out on the town.More

It's been a few years since I've been here (2010), but during the week I was in BA, I ate here at least twice. It was recommended to us by our hostel (ChillHouse - excellent place) and I am so glad we tried it out....The food is inexpensive, but tasty and large portions (two pasta dishes will feed about four people, and this is coming from us, big eaters!). Not for those on a diet - lots of full fat, rich dishes, quality ingredients, and I think homemade pasta. As Anthony P. mentioned, it very much is like an old world Italian restaurant. Best if you speak Spanish... otherwise you will probably be miming a lot, as we did. I think we only had lunch here - I don't think we ever made it back for dinner. Bottom line: decent service, unpretentious and fun ambiance, and great food. I'll be back! :)More
