Reliable resto food well prepared service with a smile mid priced wine list. All the usual dishes are on the menu. Interesting decor. So it's a tourist place but an honest one.

Our hotel's front desk recommended Clarks, and it was within walking distance so a perfect choice. We were not disappointed in the least. Ordered bife de chorizo and a glass of Malbec, and it was memorably good ... beef cooked perfectly, delightful ambiance, good service. And our total excluding tip was less than US$50 for the two of us.

We wandered through Recoleta looking at street vendor wares and stopped here for a glass of wine and snack. We sat outside under the canopy and it was less busy and had more comfortable chairs than the other restaurants in the area that were on the main corner. Had the empanadas and garlic shrimp prawns and they were fantastic. Very... More

Looking for a good place to eat on our first night in Buenos Aires we chanced upon this restaurant just across the road from the Recoleta cemetery. Nice atmosphere, sitting outside in the evening warmth. The staff were friendly and the service efficient. Good steaks cooked just right and nice cold beer and wine to go with them. In a... More

We ate here first night and last as we came back through BA. Food was excellent and service OK, but we were very early and they were not in top gear for the evening. We ate outside, but visited the interior to see it. Really very well decorated, with a collection of vintage phones on the wall too. Portions were... More

After visiting the Recoleta Cemetery, we stop by for lunch. What a beautiful restaurant. Love the décor. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. We order a big Asado, it brings several different types of beef, so we share. We had a great time and don't forget to order their signature beer Quilmes!

My husband and I love this place! It's a classic Argentinian staple. Must visit if only just once! My favorite is their butternut squash pasta with caviar. And the best thing - it's not at all as expensive as it sounds.

After going on the city tour we stopped here to have a bite to eat. Service was friendly, but the food was average. We had a couple empanadas and mussels. Not bad, just not great. Very close to the cemetery so it's location is a bit touristy. Reasonably priced and is clean.

We like the location and the setting: a nice outside terrace in the middle of Recoleta. We had a very good green salad, but after that service slowed down and we waited almost an hour for our ojos de bife: 2 steaks. The kitchen sent us 2 empanadas to sooth us, but we never got an explanatio why we had... More

Located in the Recolata district, this felt to us like an authentic Argentinian restaurant. It was crowded with locals (we didn't see many obvious tourists) and had a great buzz. You can sit outside or in the large air-conditioned pub-style restaurant festooned with horse racing memorabilia. We chose indoors to escape the heat. The service is friendly and professional, and... Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
