The food was superb, and the wine was suggested excellentely to the food served! If I ever go back to Buenos Aires, I will definitely come back here!

We popped in for lunch today and were very disappointed as this little French cafe could be something special.... We ordered pâté with a selection of cheeses, the pâté was inedible dog food and the cheese selection was not as described on the menu, no crackers, no thought and definitely no pride, the quiche was microwaved to an inch of... After wandering around Palermo Soho and eating at not-so-good places (around flying pigeons included), we got a little lost walking and arrived at El Francés. Just a few blocks away from Plaza Serrano, in the corner of Thames and Gorriti is this nice place. The menu is AR$48 and you get a very, very nice salad, well served, a main,... More

we went there for late lunch time and got a nice table close to window, had a great experience with staff, friendly and funny, we had entrees and nice food ( we had a cheese tabla, with delicious cheeses and patês) and in main course nice pasta, they serve greta wines and breads, the place is also great for desserts... A very good French bistro in Palermo Soho. Food and service very good as well as the ambiance. The only faulty point was the wine list, only with Argentinian wines.

It's a nice little restaurant in a corner located in Palermo soho, near the plaza Serrano area. They serve salads and sandwiches mainly, the food is not outstanding but it's quiet and nice just to be there.

Well prepared continental style food served in bistro atmosphere. The options offered for the Executive lunch were varied and available for vegetarians. Service is not pushy at all. Once you have a table they seem wiling to let you keep it. Wine by the glass is generously poured and of the typical Argentine quality. I would return if in the... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
