I was looking forward to a great Middle Eastern meal judging by the reviews and was a little disappointed. The food was good but not great. The Shwarma I had was a little dry and lacked flavour. The hummous was excellent as were the bourek. The falafel a little dry as well.

I went to the take away part of the restaurant. The staff was very rude. I said "hello" a first time, no answer. I had to say hello a second time louder to finally hear a "hello" back. They were also expeditive with no consideration of the client. I felt like I was annoying them !! But the most scandalous... More

Something different in Buenos Aires; We had Shawarma and Falafel, all very tasty. To be honest, in Greece we are used to thicker pitta bread and more content (gyros or doner, call it as you like) but this was ok for a quick lunch/snack; I've also noticed in the table next to us some really interesting desserts (baklava like) as... A great lebanese restaurant in the middle of Las Canitas, its a family own business thats clearly of arabic descend, and its a popular place within the arabic expats. First I would like to say that I am Syrian. And I have had like a thousand Shawarmas and Falafels in my life. Although the food is middle eastern, Al-Zein is classified as a Syrian restaurant. This is because the workers are all Syrian and the place is filled with pictures of tourist attractions in Damascus. We ordered 4 Shawarmas... More

Simple, to the point Shawarma place with other middle eastern specialties. Service, prices and ambiance are in line with what you would expect. Also a good option for take away.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
