It took twenty minutes of walking around, then three very helpful locals in a small market to find Sr. Duncan's. But, we found it!! Hip 'locals' spot, it seemed. The staff was very helpful in getting us oriented. They were also curious how we found out about their place. There are multiple rooms with different music scenes. Pay for a... More

First of all, this restaurant is off the beaten path, some distance from the more trendy establishments that attract tourists. Visitors should know that there is no sign outside and from the street the place looks like a nondescript apartment building. (Just look for the address, which isn't huge.) Once inside, you have to go up a flight of stairs,... More

This place is truly amazing! My friends and I have become huge fans ever since we went there last year. It is now our weekly hang out place. Not only you can eat really fabulous food ( they have a variety of pizzas and empanadas that are just out of this world and some really tasty gourmet dishes), they also... More

This place is awesome. Every night you walk inside, is a surprise. It's not just that there a different "theme" everyday (tango, swing dancing, stand up comedy, among others), you can go with the idea of enjoying one show, then you go to another room in the back, and there is another very different thing going on. You can go... More

Went to Sr. Duncan last night with a friend who knows the owners. This is exactly how a bar should be; a relaxed unpretentious place with bags of character, run by friends who are doing what they love. It's a really sociable place. My girlfriend got shown a bit of tango from a random and we ended up chatting to... More

Tuesday is the Tango night. Thursday is the Swing one. They've got live music and classes 'a la gorra' (voluntary $ contribution). The wooden floor saloon is perfect to practice and the atmosphere overall is amazing. They've got a piano room too with live music and even Stand Up evenings. Super friendly staff, huge variety of drinks and beer is... More

I've been to Sr Duncan a couple of times now and it never disappoints. They have live music nights, and swing classes on a Thursday. It's a bar for locals, so it's great if you're travelling and don't just want to go to the touristy spots or the expat bars. In fact, if you're an expat it's a perfect place... More
