We ate here years ago and raved about how much better steaks are here than in the US. I can't make that claim any longer. The filet minon is still good but if you order it you will probably need to order either a salad or a vegetable at a highly inflated price. In this world inflation has taken over... More

Excellent Food & Wine. The place is very nice, therefore the prices are a little bit higher but worth spending it. Thumbs up!

I like the deco, ambiance, location and service in this place but I had two different experiences in my meal, a great starter os Salmon and a not so good grilled seafood where only the prawns were nice, octopus and fish was not great. Overall a good place to eat in lovely Puerto Madero

Highly recommended. We have had dinner here on each of our visits to BA - our host comes here at least once a week for business lunches so has always vouched for the quality. Excellent wine list, great steak, polished service and a great location. We always ask for a table on the terrace.

If you're planning to dine at Puerto Madero, Happening is one of the best options you will have. Although most of foreign visitors will be driven to "Cabañas Las Lilas" (a great restaurant as well), Happening will provide you a more "local" environment due to the large number of argentineans that visit this fantastic restaurant. Their wine list is quite... More

I love this place, best steak I ever taste. You need to ask for the "ojo de bife" under "jugoso" term, the "tiradito de salmon" as entree and "mousse de chocolate" as dessert are the best complement, and a good red wine just to feel like in heaven.

Very good restaurant with good menu and many options... the different meats are really good but the cooking for mine was a bit too much... very nice wine card ! Lot of options ! The location is also very good in puerto madero near the riverside.... but very expensive in our opinion for what we have in the plates.

Happening's food was pretty tasty but the service was not as attentive as you'd expect for the prices. We had to refill our wine glasses ourselves a few times. We had a group of four and all of us ordered a steak but either our waiter mixed up our steak orders or the kitchen simply got it wrong because no... More

We walked by this restaurant at lunchtime to make a reservation for dinner and the maitre'de took one look at us and said there was no availability. He was rude and abrupt. Walking past at 7pm we saw plenty of empty tables and were ushered straight in to one of the nicest alongside the walk and the river. I'm guessing... More

This is a classic Buenos Aires restaurant. Has been in this location in Madero for many years and continues to be a success. There are lots of locals as well as tourists. It has outside sitting facing the canals in Madero. The food is exceptional. Great barbecue, steaks, pastas, seafood and salads. Very large menu, great wines. This is an... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
