My husband and I had the good fortune of dining at Alto El Fuego while staying in Bariloche during our honeymoon in October, and it was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip (which went through several cities in both Chile and Argentina)! On the third day of our stay in Bariloche, we were trying to... More

Delicious steak, salad, and beer. Pretty setting on the terrace. Staff was excellent and all spoke fluent English. Great value too!

We had just about given up on the concrete ugliness of Bariloche when we discovered this charming little wooden restaurant perched up the hill in a more bohemian and lively part of town. Our steaks were outstanding and generously proportioned. Go, you won't regret it!

Small and lively spot with outstanding beef at reasonable prices . Try the braided beef although not the best cut of meat available it was simply delicious. Service was good and helpful with recommending portions . Our most interesting and best meal in Bariloche.

Exactly what it says on the door. The have a good collection of grilled meats on offer for fine prices. Couple of side dishes (fries or salad) to go with it send that's it. Thing is, they know how to prepare all the cuts really well! Most portions are large, but we personally felt our cuts were on the smaller... More

We visited Alto el Fuego twice in our four nights in Bariloche. Fantastic service. The waiters remembered us when we went back for the second time. Delicious food. The lomo is outstanding and enough to feed two people. We also had a side salad and a side of fries. We also had a chocolate mousse dessert. All delicious. Nice choice... More

The place has a nice atmosphere with it being a little house on top of a hill. Quaint, casual and charming. This is Argentinean beef at its best, as goos as it gets. We tried their bife de chorizo, their ojo de bife, their entrana, their lomo...They were all ridiculously good, and plenty to satisfy any palate. They also have... More

Upon arrival, our table of 6 had become a party of 8 but the staff were very accommodating and happily added extra seating for us. We were shown to our table and the menu was explained to us in full, including the different cuts of meat available with costs varying around 260-300pesos for steak. My boyfriend and I had originally... More

A really delicious meal from start to finish. The lamb was devine and portion sizes very generous. Book in advance as the restaurant fills up.

There is a reason why this is the number one restaurant in Bariloche! We went there for lunch and there was space for us with no reservation. It is a lovely small restaurant with excellent service. The portion size was excellent, we had enormous steaks for under 300 Argentinian pesos. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Probably the best steak... More
