This is a converted old style general store with lots of memorabilia around the original counter. Lovely atmosphere. Attentive staff. Very good local meals and snacks (go for the specials of the day) and huge and outstanding desserts. A very nice selection of local draft beers as well as a full bar. It is always crowded and noisy but it... More

Lovely atmosphere in a quirky setting, lots of memorabilia old shelves around the walls. Attentive staff and good quality food. Good choice of specials for the day and outstanding desserts. Also a great line in breads and pastries to take away.

Like somany others, I had several hours to spend in Ushuaia after disembarking a ship. A guide recommended Ramos. When I entered I saw two of my fellow ship passengers who were there for a repeat visit because they liked it so much. The ambience is good - the old General store makes it feel like you are eating in... More

Slightly off the beaten track opposite the port, this is a converted old style general store with lots of artefacts around and the original counter. Good local meals and snacks as well as local brewed Cape Horn beers on draught.

With only a couple hours in town, we came to this eccentric historical restaurant to use the free wifi and enjoy a liter of cold local microbrewed stout with chocolate chip scones. Both were excellent! Couple next to us were eating very delectable-looking lunches. Service was excellent and if we ever make it to "the end of the world" again,... More

truly loved this place. Had a beer and an exceptional empanada in the evening and then went back for coffee and pastries next morning. Pastries were outstanding by any measure - if I'd had then at the best hotel i Paris I would still be raving about them. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, interesting historic place. I didn't have a full... More

The food is good, but what called my attention the most was the antique decoration. It is more a cafeteria than a restaurant, but it also offers some hot meals. Price is okay, around 200 pesos per dish. They also offer beer inside penguin's mugs - touristic but cool.

This place is full of history complete with all sorts of wonderful antique items decorating the walls. We popped in for coffee and delicious pastries and a few glasses of Malbec and really enjoyed the atmosphere.Very friendly staff and service was good.. Free wi-fi. We went there to have a brief coffee and were super surprised at the quality of pastries and service. There was a continuous stream of locals coming in to purchase take away/to go yummies. Ramos Generales was our best experience in Ushuaia.

We stopped here around 5 pm and it was a great treat. We enjoyed tasting the beer. We did not eat, but the food looked good. Our friends had the sampler beer with four flavors while my husband and I selected one and ordered a pint. Service was very good. The atmosphere of the place is really neat and casual.

Thank Danette P
