We had the crab soup, crab Parmesan and Crab Cantina with shrimp and mussels. Amazing taste, right out of the tank freshness.

Our tour director recommended Freddy's. It is small with tables that can be arranged to accomodate any number, as long as there are tables to be had. The caprese salad consisted of large flavorful tomato slices and thick slices of mozarella. The king crab was flavorful and moist. My husband and i shared a paella that was juicy and full... More

We only had a few hours in Ushuaia and decided to have lunch. We saw the reviews on this restaurant and decided to try it. So glad we did. The crab is super fresh they are kept in a tank at the front of the store and taken to the kitchen when they are ready to be steamed (sounds horrible... More

It was wonderful. We opted for the crab and mussels with Parmesan sauce and yellow rice. It was so plentiful and delicious. We are planning on returning tomorrow night for the steamed fresh king crab. Everyone that ordered it was pleased with the taste and size. Well worth a visit!

We ate here the night before joining our Antarctic cruise. Despite a large tour group dining at the same time,we enjoyed our table for two and were well looked after by the staff. Our fish was fresh and well cooked and presented, and similarly priced to elsewhere in Argentina. As usual the servings were huge and we were unable to... More

This was our second visit to Ushuaia and our second visit to cantina Freddy. This restaurant has an aquarium with live king crabs in the front window. Pick the king crab of your choice and they cook it whole for you. I would recommend sharing. Price is by the kilo. Other food and wine selection is very good. Go early... More

It was very much recommended to be the place to eat king crab, selecting it from the aquarium.. The price was salty so I ended up eating a Provençal version of it. It was a mistake. If you go there stick to the basics, and be ready to pay 55 dollars a kilo of the Centolla. Overall an expensive place... More

We had read that Ushuaia was the place to try fresh King Crab so decided to try Freddy's after reading good reviews. We arrived right as they opened at 7 p.m., and by 7:30 they had a number of people waiting outside for a table. My wife was able to order a glass of wine (even though we only saw... More

We had dinner here with a large group, and the wait staff was able to serve us all very well. Nicely served crab, already shelled! Not a big menu, but some tasty choices. Moderately expensive, but do is most of Ushuaia. Convenient location.
