Returning to the Van Buren Honey Bears is like a pilgrimage for me. For years I've told friends that some of the best bbq sauce could be found in Phoenix of all places. So I looked forward to my lunch yesterday after a couple of years being away. Given my reverence for this bastion of Tennessee bbq, I will only... More

If you like BBQ, you will love Honey Bears. Nothing fancy except the food. Great lunch place for out of towers on their way to the airport.

On the way home from Phoenix Zoo stopped for lunch. The food is so good, large portions, took home and had lunch the next day also. The ribs are the best I ever had and the sauce is heaven. The sides are large also, I chose the mac n cheese and red potato salad and they kept well. Must try... More

Instead of Mexican food, try this BBQ joint; very close to Heard Museum; nothing too fancy, but very good Southern BBQ; we also tried the Mac and Cheese side. It was delicious! Not too creamy. Real cheese they used. They also added a tint of coarse black pepper to give it a good kick. We loved it!

Good food reasonably priced, convenient to visit, friendly staff, good service. I visited a couple of times in the past with friends.

Honey Bears was recommended to us by the clerk at the archeological museum for great local BBQ. For a group of 7, it was either here or Haps, but local won the day so off to Honey Bears we went. The food was good and alcoholic beverages were available ... So combo #3 and a beer was my choice. The... More

Love their ribs and bbq sandwiches. Brings back the good ol' days. Get takeout and go to nearby Papago Park for a picnic. Peach cobbler is delightful.

If you had the worst experience here, man your life is good. If you don't eat food Mexicans cook, man your probably starving. I like this bbq spot. Friendly staff every time I've gone in with fam, friends, and solo. Honey bears has been around for a while and hasn't let me down yet. The only thing is, it's a... More

Small portions, pricey compared to other BBQ places nearby, uses a vinegar-based sauce which I really hate, kinda dumpy inside.

This is a great place to eat. The food was good. It's a hole in the wall type place, but the staff was friendly, the price was reasonable and they give extra sauce for those of us that like allot of sauce. Just remember, you're not in Texas when you eat here so don't expect Texas style BBQ, expect a... More
