Gosh, screw up two Thanksgiving dinners (Seriously, cold turkey slices?) , average at best service (the server all but forgot us for dessert and the check), and a hostess with an attitude about accommodating my friend with a disability (I had a reservation, so this wasn't a difficult task). Too many other restaurants in town to have to put up... More

The historic building is well maintained and the decor is a nice mix of old world wood and standard tablecloth dining. Not a lengthy menu but well appointed. I had the ribeye steak. What arrived on my plate was what looked like a thin New York strip. No marbling, not even close to a ribeye. I will admit that it... More

My husband and I went to Murphy's for a birthday dinner and we weren't disappointed. He had the Rib Eye and I had Prime Rib. Though both were very tender and tasted great, they were also thin cuts. Not exactly what you'd get at a steakhouse. Their wine list is good - not pretentious and it was more value priced... More

The stunning woodwork and ambience when you first enter, are only the beginning of a night full of lasting memories. From the hostess's greeting thru the server's attentive and knowledgeable service, they make you feel like a special friend. The food itself was delicious, expertly prepared, and presented in stunning fashion. Our steaks were moist, tender and cooked perfectly. The... More

Our innkeeper at the Gurley St. Lodge recommended Murphy's! What a delight Murphy's is, talk about a popular busy place, I would recommend reservations (we did not have such and were told we might have a 45 minute wait to get a table, but we lucked out and didn't have to wait that long). The wine list is good, a... More

My husband and I recently had dinner here. It was the closest higher-end restaurant to the Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel, on a snowy icy night. We had to walk only about 3 blocks to arrive at the restaurant. (The restaurant is also within walking distance of the Hotel St. Michael, but a much longer walk.) When visiting Prescott over the... It was snowing hard when we arrived. They seated us quickly. The waiter was expert and efficient. There were six adults and two children and we all had fine dinners. My prime rib was very good, and I enjoyed the house salad with house dressing. My wife thought the beef stroganoff was delicious. Their selection of hot teas was excellent.... More

We ate here on a Wednesday evening & started out with Calamari appetizer which was prepared just right. Then had delicious Tortilla soup & house salad which both were delicious & came with freshly baked bread & herb butter. Our main dish was Trout Almondine, which was perfectly prepared along with our side of zucchini & rice pilaf. Couldn't finish... More

Had just finished hiking nearby and was hoping for something delicious and fast. Came in after the lunch rush was over. We ordered a steak and a BLT sandwich and chicken tortellini soup. The steak was very good. Only wished the BLT had a little more B. Both were on homemade bread rolls. Restaurant itself was nicely appointed and the... More

Not sure about the lower ratings, but our experience at Murphy's was outstanding. I ordered Escargot as a starter. I have had Escargot in Paris many times, the offering at Murphy's was every bit as good as anything I have tried in Europe. My wife and I shared the Surf n Turf. They will tailor this dish to basically whatever... More
