Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Burned down 5/17 a huge loss to both the community and travelers. One of the last restaurants operating in town, may it rise from the ashes.

Located four miles South of exit 98 on Interstate 10 Tin Top is worth the trip. Whether thirsty traveler needing food and refreshment or a local yocal looking for a regular hangout one will never regret stopping in. It is the first restaurant we ate...after we moved into the area and we have eaten here at least one a week ever since. It is a bar/restaurant but it is extremely family friendly and there are always kids there eating with parents. It is first come first serve, seat yourself seating and if you are visiting on a night during a planned event it can be difficult to find a place to sit. Locals are very friendly so if you don't mind sharing a table neither will they. There is plenty of covered our door seating on the patio and even in the dead of summer it remains rather pleasant. Heaters are placed there in the cooler months so no fears anytime. We do much prefer the friendly and festive atmosphere of the main dining and bar area. The must have appetizers is the Jalapeno cheese sticks. They are quite popular so as a result the are at time not available. I have nearly eaten everything on the menu so far and not had a bad meal. My favorites are: Tri-tip Sandwich, French Dip (w/Caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese), and the Chicken Sandwich. Fish tacos are good too. The owner can often be spotted roaming the restaurant taking to patrons and wants to know the experiences of his customers. The service is usually very good but on a extremely busy night such as Trivia Wednesday, it can slow down a bit. One thing that I can report is that every time we visit it seems to get a bit better both in service an quality of food. Drink menu is somewhat limited so don't expect anything "uptown" and the only decent beer they have on tap in my opinion is Kiltlifter but that is pretty common in the West Valley of AZ anyway. Hope to see ya there!More

This little bar may be a bit out of your way but you won't regret having a beer with the local bartenders. When I walked in a few days ago, it was like night and day since I had been there last. I will definitely...be back to see Beth and bring my entire work crew!More

This place is for all types of people from Ranchers to Bikers,Truckers to Farmers and everything in between. More often than not, the parking lot is full of bikes from Phoenix and surrounding communities. Prior to CoVid, this place was hopping on the weekends. The...menu is varied and quite good. I know, funny right? How many restaurants are there in Tonopah anyway?!? But this is very decent roadside bar and grill where we had a late lunch and enjoyed it - typical pub/ B&G type menu, but well done and better than I expected -...definitely worth the short side trip off I-10!More

The food here is always good. I come here at least once a week. I had the 10 wings and the sauce had very good flavor! I usually have the awesome Stage Stop Chicken sandwich which is seasoned chicken breast marinated with onions and mushrooms...on a hoagie bun.More

Needed lunch during drive from Calif. to AZ. Found I could order from car, 1/2 hr away and not have to wait and order upon arrival. My husband had a Reuben on rye and it was excellent. Nice big slices of corn beef and fresh...marble rye. I has the blt wrap with a salad. Both tasty and freshly prepared. we would stop there again.More

We’ve been here many times and the Tin Top rocks! Great food and they will make their pizza the way YOU want it made and in my case, that’s with the cheese covering all the meat and veggies (the way it’s done in the midwest)....Their specials are great and it’s just a wonderful bar and grill in the middle of the desert - sort of like an oasis.More

Thought we were in a food desert, restaurant-wise, but a search turned up this gem. Hooray, technology! Never would have known about it from I-10, as the place is pretty far from the highway, but it is worth your time. Mushroom burger with onion rings...($1 extra; worth it) was great. Steak wrap seemed to be skirt steak: extra points. Side of potato salad was nice. Good vibe inside; feels like the kind of place that locals call a second home; I'll bet there's a helluva bar scene here at night.More

Not a fancy place to eat. It is a bar and grill, with a bar occupying half of the place and restaurant the other half. Has a juke box going and occasionally live music on weekends. The service is good and the food delicious and...not expensive. A variety of food, simple down home good food, steaks, burgers, chicken. We go to eat here once a month and often go as a family group.More

My husband and I stay at an RV park in Tonopah and like to frequent local restaurants and bars. Last January (2018) we had dinner and drinks here twice on Friday and Saturday, so decided to come back again this year. Last year there was...a loud band both nights, but the loud band did not prepare us for what we experienced this year. We went on a Sunday night and were quite surprised by the demeanor of the bar clientele. There were about three or four tables of people having dinner and we decided to sit at the bar for our dinner. We ordered the green Chile hamburgers and fries which are quite good. My complaint is not about the food, drinks or service, but about the conduct that is tolerated from the clientele. Let me start by saying my husband and I are 71 years old and have been in hundreds of bars and restaurants over the years in many different parts of this and other countries. We are also not prudes. But what we experienced at the TinTop Bar far exceeds any other experience we have had. There were three or four guys sitting at the bar who were extremely loud and extremely profane for the entire 1 1/2 hours that we were there. Every noun that came out of the mouth of the ringleader was preceded by either f**k, f**ker or f**king. There were at least three women tending bar and I’m not sure who was behind the scenes, but no one made an attempt to rein these guys in. Instead, they continued to serve them alcohol which only fueled the fire. One of the tables of diners had at least 4 children and I’m not sure what they thought about the entire situation. The volume of their voices was matched only by the crudeness of their words. Not sure if this is a typical Sunday evening crowd at this bar, but it was not at all what we experienced the other two times we were here. I’m sure these were local guys who keep this place in business, so I’m sure no one is going to tell them to shut up. But one would think that their own self awareness would be enough to shut them up or at the very least, tone down their language.More

We have been here two or three times. Its clean and the staff is friendly. They have a extensive menu of bar type food. The food is good and the beer is cold. That's enough to make me want to go back again.
