We stopped at about 2:00pm on 22/03/17 before driving back to Chandler. I made it clear that I have Celiac and must be served only G/F Food. The free deep fried tortilla chips were not g/f so I wondered about an appetizer. On the menu there is only one g/f appetizer but I wasn't interested in a corn tortilla with... More

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after an afternoon in Tubac. Food and service was good, but the interior design was unexpectedly over the top.

Recommended by two different local shop owners and I had the absolutely best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I love moles' and the had four different selections all scratch made. The best I've ever had. My lunch companions had the chili rellenos. They were outstanding. If you're in Tupac go there.

Had read reviews & was recommended by others to have lunch here. Charged $1 for a sample of Mole & $4 to share a plate when the lunch serving size is huge. Crazy to punish people for eating reasonable sized meals. Food was fair but not great for the money. 4/5 of us disappointed in meal & cost. Will not... More

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday just after 2 pm. We didn't realize that they close at 3:00 on Sundays! We decided to sit in the bar area and we're treated superbly. We each had a margarita. Probably, one of the best I've ever had. No premixed stuff here! We shared an appetizer and an entree. They do... More

Highly recommended. Modern Mexican food with an emphasis on seafood. Excellent service. A bit pricey but worth it.

Lunch at Elvira’s: large delicious portions. The lunch portions really seemed like dinner-size portions to me. I had chicken quesadillas because I was looking for something small, inexpensive, and light sounding. The quesadillas were stuffed with so much chicken and cheese that I could eat only about half of the plateful. Admittedly, I have a small appetite, but it was... More

My wife & I made our first trek to the artist community of Tubac, Arizona today. Based on a recommendation of a local resident, we were rewarded with a great lunch at this wonderful restaurant named Elvira's. Outstanding southwestern cuisine is served up by a friendly and fast wait staff including Brianna, our star performer. We'll certainly come back here... More

We arrived for lunch about 1:00 on an Art Walk day. Got right in and our server, Tara, arrived very quickly. Beautiful place, with hundreds of hanging glass teardrops illuminated by different-colored lights. Beautiful decor. We had the special quesadilla poblano and the Mole Negro. The quesadilla was excellent, but the Mole was simply outstanding. Easily the best mole I... More

The inside is decored with hanging blown glass, accented by light which makes this place very unique. We started off with the mushroom appetizer and were not disappointed. It's a mixture of chili pepper, garlic and of course mushrooms. Nothing was fried and came with it's own nice sauce. The main course of chicken enchilada and spinach salad was just... More
