Visited Carlingford for a nice walk and popped into PJ's for a bite to eat that evening. Food was nice and service was fine. Prices reasonable too.

We've been visiting PJ's for years and love it. Staff, atmosphere, welcoming roaring fire - all hard to beat. We had lunch today and definitely noticed that prices have been creeping up quite a bit. Small glass (175ml) malbec red wine €6,90. Fish & Chips €17,90!? - really? Shame as most everything else about PJ's is great but please don't... More

We enjoyed mussels and oysters. Other dishes looked good. Nachos good (not great). Log fire. Separate room where children were entertaining themselves while parents ate. Open all day. Merlot, Pinot and Sparkling wines on tap.

Ate here today and will definitely return Great selection on the menu. Great atmosphere....fire blazing and lovely staff. Might find it difficult to get a seat and may have to wait but it's worth the wait. Possibly on the dear side but guaranteed really great quality food. Prosecco by the glass too!! Lovely cosy spot in the heart of Carlingford!

Had dinner and a few drinks. The food was superb. I would recommend the prawn pil pil for starter, it was excellent. The pub doesn't take reservations so plan well in advance as it does be very busy and last orders are at 8.50pm but only if you have a table. The staff are lovely and very attentive. They really... Quaint traditional Irish pub with buckets of atmosphere, real fires, traditional music, good food, great Guinness and simply a must when in Carlingford.

Four adults escaped from a cold (for Ireland) November day into a warm and welcoming village pub. The service was efficient and the food was filling and of excellent quality. Lots of local history around the walls. I wasn't surprised to hear various non-Irish accents among the clientele. OHare's obviously has a good reputation far beyond Carlingford . Our second... More
