My son and I had an early appointment in Roscommon and wanted to find somewhere for breakfast. We drove around the town and discovered Molloys. We both ordered the breakfast Ciabatta and tea and coffee and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff...was friendly, interested, and seemed genuinely happy and the bakery was amongst the best I have seen in Ireland. The shop was beautifully laid out with great attention to merchandising and bright airy spaces with super branding. We met with Declan whose family has been running the business for 100 years. It really was an unexpected surprise. The quality would not have been out of place on any high street anywhereMore

We Visited Ireland last Saturday on the 15th of October, and what an amazing Coffee shop. It was a very spacious shop offering plenty of homemade cakes, bread and so much more. We had fresh soup with soda bread, and it was delicious. The girls...serving us what a delight so happy to serve with a smile. Also want to say a BIG Thank you to Declan the owner, who took the time out to come and say Hello and had a good chat with us, since it was our first visit to Ireland. He also suggested a few eating places for our trip, which we did. We will be looking forward to coming bak to this wonderful coffee shop. Mr and Mrs Powney from the UKMore

Just happened to be passing through Roscommon on Wednesday and got a bit peckish so we spotted Molloy's and decided to pop in, best decision ever!!!! My Husband had the granola with an americano and I not so hungry or health conscious had a latte...and a coffee slice. Well for the first time in quite awhile I can say the the cake was light fresh and melt in the mouth. I took a spoonful of my hubby's granola beautiful and we both could taste the coffee in our coffee. we had such a great experience here that we bought a soda bread brown and cherry jam leaving. Staff were lovely we will be back....Do try this place!!More

We've just left the restaurant and I did tell the server that the Quiche was horrible and expensive at almost 9 euro however my comments fell on deaf ears.I didn't mention the weak, flavourless tea. My husband ordered a breakfast roll which he enjoyed. We...are regular customers but generally buy from the bakery where the quality and price is good.More

Visited Molloys newly revamped restaurant/cafe recently and was really impressed with the surroundings and the food. I went for the full Irish Breakfast and it was top class, the pot of tea and soda bread were included in the price, the sausages and black and...white pudding (supplied by Waldrons I think) were delicious. I will be back ! Highly recommended.More

We stayed at the Abbey Hotel right across from here and ate our breakfast there both days! The staff was so amazing to us as we were traveling with different news about COVID-19 daily and did not know what that would mean for our vacation....They checked on us and made us feel at home each day. On top of this, the food and coffee was amazing! It was my favorite bakery from our entire trip in Ireland. If you all read this, thank you for your kindness. It won’t be forgotten. 💞More

During our 2020 trip to Ireland, my sister, my friends, and I visited the town of Roscommon and stayed in the Abbey Hotel. Across the street from us was Molloy’s Bakery, which we promptly visited our first morning. We each had a different dish- my...sister, the potato pancakes, one friend a scone, the other a breakfast croissant, and I creamy mushrooms on toast. The baked goods were delicious and fresh, obviously made that day, and the smell of the baked bread enhanced the cozy, homey coffeehouse atmosphere. We went back the following day to grab food before our trek to our next destination and the owner stopped and talked to us, welcoming us to Ireland and offering us a few snacks for the road. The cashiers also recognized us and welcomed us back! The food was comforting and delicious and the people kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for any baking, from fluffy loaves to flaky cinnamon-raisin danishes.More

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. Wasn’t sure what to have as there is an extensive breakfast menu and a lovely lady recommended the potato cakes with rashers and an egg with brown bread and tea. It was all so hot and freshly cooked to...order I will definitely be returning. She was very helpful and attentive and a great asset to their team! Another great point I got tea with my breakfast included and I was able to have two large cups from this - unusual to revive this generous amount as most restaurants would only have a pot with enough for one cup :-) I will definitely be back, especially to try the Sunday breakfast specials !More

A little gem in Roscommon. Close to the railway station. Serving freshly baked artisan breads and cakes. Delicious breakfasts from Molloys Granola, homemade porridge or a fry up. Irish producers supply the store. In 2022 the owner Declan will be celebrating the ship being open...100 years. Fantastic service. Well worth a visit.More

We ordered a celebration cream cake for a birthday and it came up to it’s customary standard. It is our “go to” place for a bespoke sandwich and home made soup too. It has good stocks of other foods like a deli.
