I have visited this restaurant a number of time, however, have only recently started reviewing on tripadvisor. We were a party of three for lunch on the Monday free Christmas. The restaurant was pretty quiet which meant the service was excellent. At busy times the service, although lovely, can be quiet slow. We had soup (with delicious honemade brown bread... More

My wife and I recently celebrated her birthday with a beautiful meal at the Whitehorses in Ardmore Co. Waterford . Everything was spot on from start to finish . We were made feel welcome straight away . The atmosphere was homely and relaxed . We were waited on excellently by not just 1 but 3 people . Our meal was... More

Thermidor was brilliant! They responded to our 3 year olds request for potato and cheese. No children's items on menu. A bit pretentious. Decor is nice.

What a fantastic first visit to this restaurant - will most definitely be returning! The menu choice is excellent and the price is excellent for four courses. I had de mussels starter and my husband had the pumpkin soup - both were presented really nicely and so tasty too.by far the nicest mussels I've ever had. For mains we had... More

I visited this restaurant on a scorching hot day in August after a glorious day of lying in the sun. I came with my grandparents who, having eaten in some of the worlds best restaurants, have exceptionally high standards when it comes to food! We sat by the window and were welcomed warmly. The interior is lovely, very Ardmore with... More

Have eaten here quiet a lot with family or friends. Food is always delicious although a little expensive really don't mind paying a little extra for quality. Service is good often busy here so would advise booking. The portion sizes are huge and they always make sure you have enough of everything. I would visit here for lunch more often,... More

Food only ok but asked for lamb well done but bright pink in middle. Service was fast but like trying just to move customers, and no real interaction with customers. The service and food you would expect at these prices were just not there. Wouldn't go again. Shame

Start off by saying that we really love this restaurant and have eaten here many times over the summer. However on our two last visits, we both ordered the fantastic fillet steaks but found that the portion sizes differed significantly . The restaurant offered us "an extra" piece of meat to make up the difference. Also we found that in... More

Stayed at the Cliff House nearby and ate at the White Horses most nights. The food was wonderful with lots of choices. The dessert was superb too. The Cliff House restaurant where we stayed was not worth the money, and the food was beautiful on the plate but inedible. So we walked down to the White Horses every evening.
