We were recommended this restaurant and oh my goodness it was next level. The food was extraordinary but the sommelier pairing the wines that were so cheap just topped it off. Welcoming, warm, friendly and a great experience all round!

My wife and I had a wonderful evening at Sitiado. This is an intimate space with great attention to detail - from the friendly reception to the wine selection to the food. We enjoyed a lovely white Reserva from Quinta das Bageiras (at a very decent price) to accompany the seared tuna, crumbed octopus, shrimps and potato peel chips. The food was really tasty and beautifully prepared and presented - and we finished every crumb! So glad we booked in advance as we observed the number of disappointed people who had to be turned away.

Not to be missed!

So good that we went back twice! Sitiado is a safe bet for eating in Nazaré, the dishes are of high quality and great finesse. The dishes to share are a real plus to be able to taste everything and have an even more convivial time, the quality is there, and the quality/price ratio is top notch! We recommend this address with our eyes closed!!

Firstly, I have no photos as the food came out and was devoured before I had the chance to take any! Secondly, delicious tapas!! We have been coming here for a couple of years now and have never had a complaint! We brought six friends here a couple of weeks ago for lunch and they all agreed that the food was just amazing! Last night we had a couple of friends over from California. The wife is a fantastic cook and she was so impressed with the octopus salad, the potato skin fries with garlic aioli, the ahi tuna, the pork secretos and garlic prawns. We finished off with a slice of key lime pie but why did we have to share it between four of us!!! The wine selection is perfect with a variety of choices! Diana, Wilson, his mother and Fernando (and others) all work very hard to keep everyone well fed! I thoroughly recommend booking a table for lunch or dinner - you will not be disappointed!!

Sitiado is a must in Nazaré

I meant to write this review a while ago, as we had an absolutely outstanding meal here. We stumbled upon it while touring Nazaré, and my husband quickly checked out reviews. It exceeded our expectations! Everything was fresh, extremely well prepared, and sophisticated. One of my favorite dishes was the Egg Yolk Caviar - fried egg yolks topped with creme fraiche and caviar. The sauteed mushrooms were expertly prepared and seasoned, and the arugula and burrata cheese salad had orange slices that were delicious (they change this up with the seasons). We were blown away - don't miss this when you check out Nazaré!

Nice surprise that this small restaurant/wine bar. Map in the form of excellent specialties to share. Egg yolks fried with caviar, octopus salad, breaded and fried poultry sausage, squid, home fries, everything is really good. Very wise prices, wine by the glass, coffee Illy. Fantastic tapas but make sure you make a reservation

We had a great meal here, ordered 6 tapas for 3 of us followed by shared desserts. The food was delicious and this was more than enough for dinner. Prices were also very good as was the service I would recommend this place for dinner and I would definitely go back Great spot for couples looking for a cozy romantic spot

It Just Keeps Getting Better

We've come to this restaurant several times since it first opened. Please see my previous reviews. Our latest impressions, after a 2-year absence due to the COVID19 pandemic, is that Sitiado simply keeps getting better, while not losing any of its charms from its somewhat humbler beginnings. The interior of the restaurant has undergone a significant facelift over the years. But it still retains some of the really cool decorating that it had at its outset. The seating and bathrooms are much more comfortable; the music is creative and most conducive to the relaxed ambiance; the tapas are varied and delicious; the selection of wines is superb. I would prefer one or more alternatives to the wheat beer on tap, but that is minor in the grand scheme of things. The young women who served us was fluent in English, very personable, and most efficient. The owner/manager is a really cool dude who knows great food, drink, and ambience. Superb value! We expect to patronize this establishment many times during upcoming holidays in Nazare.

Our favourite holiday in Portugal, great quality products cooked to perfection, the principle of sharing is very appreciable, the Awards are very correct in relation to the products and the quantity offered. Very tasty tapas eaten to share: sausages, fries, cheviche, ... Only the moules sautées were on the chewy side. Furthermore, 2 delicious white wines that were top. Highly recommended and reserve a few days in advance via facebook message. Enjoy yourself!

Really great food. Nice experience. Staff very friendly, and welcoming. They helped us to choose a delicious Portuguese wine and made recommendations for food based on what we like. A lot of the restaurants all have similar menus and it was refreshing to enjoy a slightly different meal. Highly recommend, but definitely book as they are small and very busy!! Thanks for having us!

Hidden Gem in Sitio da Nazare

his place does not disappoint. We've walked past it multiple times and never realized. It has cozy seating for around 26. Very tasteful decor. We ordered four tapas plates of shrimp, spicy octopus, seared tuna and Alheira. All had wonderful flavor and presentation. Filling but not too much. Wait staff very friendly. Enjoyed chatting with the couple next to us. We will definitely return.

Spectacular views

A trip to Sitio from Nazare by way of the Funicular railway is a must. The views are spectacular across Nazare. As well as all small cafes, eateries and shops, you can also walk to see where some of the largest surfing waves in the world occur. Unfortunately, the big, big waves usually occur during October/ November. Also be warned! It's a bit of a steep walk coming back up from the viewing area.
