Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had lunch today with five friends and as soon as I got home about an hour after eating I was very unwell. There seemed to me to be something in the food which upset my stomach. I won’t return. Also there is a very...dangerous step in the downstairs ladies toilet which although marked is not apparent when you are looking at the doors to find the ladies sign. 2 of my group missed the step - it is very dangerous. A simple solution would be to put a small notice at eye level on the door saying simply ‘mind the step’!More

An attractive spot in a lane just behind the high street. We hadn’t booked as we intended to go elsewhere but they were closed for lunch. A friendly welcome and an appealing three course lunch menu at a modest price. The daily specials proved even...more attractive. Frito misto for starters proved excellent and well worth the supplement. The mixed grilled fish was even better. Excellent! Cheerful staff and a pleasing atmosphere. Will happily come here again.More

Pleasant dinner with friends, the food can only be rated as Top!! We started with squid A la Romana , an exquisite and well-cooked Galician-style octopus and peeled prawns cooked with a delicious sauce. For the main course we ordered a meat mix and the...choice couldn't have been better, everything was highly recommended and everything was exquisite, both the beef and the lamb! The service, the restaurant and the atmosphere, everything…. 10/10!! Thank youMore

We have just enjoyed this restaurant for many years and always found the food and service good. However when we visited for lunch, the cooking was mixed with decent starters but not very good main courses. The vegetables and potatoes, normally fresh and plentiful, were...lukewarm and not sufficient. Service was good as always but it felt as if something had changed in the kitchen. We won’t be returning in a hurry.More

Anybody who knows a tad about food would know that the food is well below acceptable, tasteless bland poorly presented and overpriced. Chef needs to go back to college,if he went in the first place . Service and restaurant surroundings good enough. I certainly will...not return.More

Dear Ana and team We haven't had this moment until now to thank you properly following our wedding reception at 'La Cantina Del Vino' on Sunday 28th May. We wish to extend our thanks & appreciation to the chefs who delivered on beautiful plates, all...starters and mains were delicious and beautifully presented; to all the staff on the day who were very polite & and welcoming, and to you and your team for preparing the set up up before arrival, it all looked fantastic. Nice food done well. Fairly basic recipes but really tasty. Well chosen music, nice art and decoration. Bit light on vegetarian choices - hence missed 5*

Top marks for this restaurant, food, wine and service all excellent and a terrific ambience as well. Quirky interior houses a team at the peak of their game. Welcoming, friendly, helpful and engaging. The food was delicious, typical of Italian food apparently simple but packing...a flavour punch. Whilst the a la carte is more than ample to provide a choice for every taste, we went "off piste" choosing from the excellently described specials. The only tiny, repeat tiny gripe is that prices are not given. Favourites, although difficult to pick amongst such exalted company; the scallops, the hake special and the very reasonably priced Montepulciano Go, enjoy, Squisito!More
