Pleasant enough staff but food very average - bar busy with locals which was good to see. Food mediocre but served with a smile.

A really good meal. The Chateaubriand was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cocktails were sublime. Absolutely nothing to complain about & if we were in Kirkby Lonsdale would not hesitate to visit again.

Went for dinner Wednesday night was busy which is a good sign friendly staff bless them rushed off their feet didn’t get my starter but did get a free dessert and never had a pot washer green apron shouting from kitchen asking who asked for...their steak cooked medium well then saying might aswell have a burger in future tell kitchen to mind there own businessMore

We ate from the Sunday lunch menu and were more than pleased with the quality of food baked cheese soufflés to perfection roast beef hmmm and lemon tart dessert all beautifully presented and tasted delicious our service was exceptional and attentive our personal waitress Charlotte...was effervescent charming and amusing service with a smile Thank you for making our occasion special If there was to be criticism is was the musician who played 2hrs of drudge!! and other diners also seemed unimpressed however this was a small complaint and would most definitely recommend this restaurant Ps we sat in the restaurant area and found this most comfortable tooMore

Not worth going ,I went with my husband for dinner, the menu is limited to say the least ,our waitress was off hand and rather rude . My husband was facing the open kitchen and was able to see the burger I ordered was out...of a packet Very disappointing ,It was one of the worst meal I have had in years !More

very dissapointing! the waitress in the restaurant had a really bad attitude. The food was poor quality , and no better the very average pub food. The barmaid was very pleasant and the wine was nice, but I restaurant poor and attitude of waitress poor....I would advise to avoid unless just going in the bar for a drink.More

Every aspect was brilliant. Front of house staff provided attentive and friendly service and the chef was great. All of the food was perfect. Definitely recommend.

Carrying on the Sunday Lunch menu into the evening is a good idea, especially as we were caught up in a massive M6 jam, and so really appreciated the choice of menu, the pleasant staff and the decor. Would certainly recommend.

Rang to ask what time are you serving till this evening, the reply was 8pm last food order 7.50 pm arrived at 7.30 pm to be told we are only taking reservations.would of been a good idea to inform us of this when we rang.... Another great lunch as per our last review. Lovely place, terrific short menu, excellent chef and service. Rob is missed, but no effect on the operation. Fairly quiet when we were there but deserves to be super busy....

Called in for a quick lunch today. Lovely experience, great food at reasonable prices. Sat in the sun-dappled courtyard which was lovely. Arina (bar staff & waitressing) looked after us really well - very enthusiastic and nothing a bother. Serves local real ale from KL...brewery tooMore

Went for Sunday Lunch after seeing the menu online and we were not disappointed! two of us had the roast chicken, two the roast beef and two children’s fish and chips. The meat, vegetables, potatoes and gravy were all just perfect. Huge home-made Yorkshire puddings....It really was delicious. The children both loved their fish and ate everything. We then squeezed in puddings which were just as good! Highly recommend and we will be back !More
