Lovely place, and dog friendly in the large outside seating area :-) Friendly staff too. We'll be back in the evening for food/drink.

Having been visiting this place for 3 years I really don’t know how you stay open. Today was our last “benefit of the doubt”. Slowly the place had gone down hill. Our grandchildren love your pasta and that’s the only reason we have continued going....Today was absolutely awful a table of 6 (sat in the freezing cold) for a 12 30 booking, 20/25 mins before we managed to place our order and almost one hour before food came. Incredibly it came in dribs and drabs, almost 20 mins from first dish to the last. The festive sandwiches almost 50 mins to arrive and they were absolutely awful (not like last year) my wife and I hardly ate ours. The manager was apologetic and said she would sort something!!! 2 mins later bill was on our table, nothing sorted. So my wife complained and we had one sandwich removed … WOW. We all would like to say the staff looked absolutely awful, dressed in dirty pyjamas! Never ever again!More
We come here regularly for both lunch and coffees - at least once a month but we won’t be coming back. The good yesterday was not good and the service even worse. We waited 40 minutes for a bowl of overpriced, overcooked and lukewarm tasteless...noodles. Nothing else arrived so after 10 minutes we sent them back. Eventually the rest of the food came - average at best! Our fries came 10 minutes after we had finished everything else. Our waitress was in the process of apologising and in fairness offered a replacement for the awful noodles when another member of staff leant over the bar and very rudely told us we were wrong about the noodles - seriously? When we came to pay (£91- so not a cheap lunch) the noodles were taken off the bill and that would have been fine but again the member of staff behind the bar was just incredibly rude. When I explained that we came for lunch regularly and that we just a bit disappointed that day she just completely blanked me. She couldn’t have cared less! We weren’t the only ones either - a couple leaving before us had their bill reduced as they hadn’t got some of their order. Any business can have a bad day. We all used to own a similar business and are sympathetic- but I would have sacked any member of the staff who was so rude to customers. That’s the reason for this review.More
The food and service is always brilliant at Botanica but we particularly loved the addition of bao buns to the new winter menu! The old favourites of sticky beef, crispy kale and buttermilk sliders were as fabulous as always. We can’t fault this restaurant for...tasty food, fantastic friendly service and the heated courtyard which is dog friendly means it is fabulous after a walk.More
Fabulous menu choices - we had 4 starter plates which were delicious flavours - sea bass - pork belly - octopus - crispy beef, highly recommend
We had a lovely brunch at Botanica. What a lovely menu. Loved the mushroom, houmous & spinach dish. Well worth a visit. Made the dog feel welcome too.
Very disappointing. With all the good reviews I was expecting a lot better experience. Firstly, the music was too loud and it is management policy not to reduce the volume as it can not be heard in the outside garden. We relocated to outside and...that was much better. The food was only ok. I had crispy duck and it was so overcooked it felt incinerated. My OH had summer chicken and it looked so boring. No imagination at all. Felt it was certainly not good value for money. Having said all this the waitresses great and very attentive. Sorry but not a place will be visiting again. Can not understand why it gets such good reviewsMore
Wow amazing as always my husband wanted something changing on a dish not a problem and it looked amazing too. Would definitely recommend you must try
OMG!!! One of the nicest meals we have ever had!! Lovely chilled vibe. Friendly staff Would DEFINITELY recommend!! 👍👍👍
Beautiful restaurant offering something a little different. As there were a few of us we had a variation of dishes to try from nibbles to small plates and mains. We loved the bao buns the buttermilk chicken Katsu cooked to perfection. Lots of different dishes...to try. They are also dog friendly you have to sit outside with dogs but you don’t feel like it is outside it’s totally covered and warm and looks very pretty. They have a very good service system one taking drinks orders another food orders and servers. All the staff are very friendly and professional our waitress was Ava we got service with a smile she was very efficient friendly and we certainly kept her busy. I would certainly recommend this place great little find we will be back.More
We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant. Good service and great food. We were with our son who has a peanut allergy, so we appreciated the clearly labelled allergy menu and the attention the waitress and kitchen gave to this
Very disappointing - had to wait over 45 minutes for sandwiches which were very poor quality and overpriced. Used to come here regularly a couple of years ago but won’t be returning.
Amazing food! They had a good range of options on the menu. I think there'd be something to suit everyone. The prices were pretty good. The only downside was that it didn't seem as clean as I would like. The table was a little sticky...and the knives and forks weren't clean but I am very picky about cleanliness. We went around 1 and it didn't seem too busy but the food took around half an hour to come. It was definitely worth waiting for!More
Delicious brunch, friendly and welcoming staff, so good we went back the same day for dinner! Beautiful setting, can't recommend highly enough.
Food here was AMAZING! Be sure to book in. We could ony get a booking for late evening as the kitchen was closing so were a tad worried we would get "what's left". Couldn't have been more wrong! Everything we ordered was fresh & totally...delicious. SO tasty. Service was great too. You wont be disappointed (only if you can't get in !)More
