Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to the rose and crown for Sunday roast, we had booked quite late in the week and had to have a table in the garden room, at first we were a bit apprehensive as we were the only ones in there, but the...staff couldn’t have been any nicer, they kept popping back to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely fantastic, great portion sizes and everything you would want from a roast, not a huge selection of desserts but once again portion sizes were good and well made. Good value for money and lovely friendly staff.More

What a fabulous country pub. This was our first visit and we went specifically for Sunday Lunch. The place was full and good job we had booked. Exceedingly friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. A good selection of draught beers and wine list. I myself had...the soup of the day for starters and the roast beef with traditional Yorkshire pudding (gigantic) and a nice selection of well prepared vegetables- the gravy was exceptional too. For dessert I had the apple and cinnamon crumble with custard. Absolutely yummy. My wife chose from the extensive a la carte menu having welsh rarebit as her starters followed by chicken as her main course and lemon Eton mess for dessert. She too thought all three dishes were really nice. Clearly the Chef knows what and how to present. We certainly will be back and would thoroughly recommend anyone to make a visit.More

Superb Sunday traditional lunch. Great value for money. The food was excellent quality, generous portion size and very well cooked. The service was great, attentive but not intrusive. This is a traditional village pub with a friendly relaxing atmosphere.

What a fantastic find - only sorry it's not closer to home. Lovely waitress made us very welcome, so nice to have service with a smile and some humour. Burger was very good, tasty and with nice fries. Steak and Guinness pie was large, and...also very tasty. Recommended - lovely village pub serving great food, with a smile.More

The best Sunday roast ever. We were a party of 4. For starters 2 had the scotch egg, 1 had the pate and 1 had the wild rabbit ravioli. Everyone loved their choice. We all had a roast. 3 had beef one had pork. The...food was delicious. Tender meat, perfectly cooked veg and special mentions for the gravy and cauliflower cheese. Everything was just full of flavour. None of us could remember ever having a better Sunday roast. The cheese board followed along with very good coffee. The pub was very busy and the service remained unflustered and friendly. Our only regret is that none of us are local and so we will not be able to return more than once or twice a year. We met family members who we hadn’t seen for a long time and this was a great place for us to drive towards each other and get together. We we will be back. If you decide to visit the Rose and Crown, book a few days ahead to ensure you’re not disappointed.More

We found this pub by chance on our previous trip to Sheringham. We took pot luck from the food sign on the A148. Well what pot luck and a find it turned out to be. Quirky decor with excellent food from a very good menu....Restaurant quality. Our lunch stop each time now. Would highly recommend. Just wish we had a pub like this near home!More

What a lovely pub in a lovely village. It has a lovely atmosphere and thank you to the really nice staff for making us feel so welcome. We have been holidaying in Norfolk over the past week and have visited the Rose and Crown 3...times because it was that good. The food is really good - home cooked, not processed and a very reasonable price when having the lunch club menu between 2-4 pm - 2 for the price of 1. I just wish it was in our area. We will definitely be visiting again when next holidaying in Norfolk. Thanks once again :)More

Only if you like sitting in bric a bac shop and poorly decorated, dusty table legs. Very small portions and expensive, staff should make a effort to be smart and tidy and try to refrain from saying "you guys"

Needed somewhere on the spur of the moment. Ordered sausage and mash which was nice however the risotto was supposed to have walnuts but total lack of them. When asked the reply was that they were ground walnuts. Asked when paying the meal was it...all OK for you? No, oh sorry to hear that. Won't be going again nor recommend.More
