We turned up on a wet and cold day in wells we have herd about this restaurant from various people and newspapers saying they have won awards as we were in our caravan in Sandringham we pre booked and Made the journey From the minute...we walked through the door till we left what a fantastic experience yes the food is fantastic nothing to much trouble if you want to change a few things and yes you have to peep what people are ordering but all I can say you could not fault the food even if you tried and made extra special by the service you receive from the staff all in all bloody wonderful People might think well good food smaller portions don’t kid your self good sized portions of great tasting food Thank you for a great mealMore

Wow, what a great selection of dishes on the menu. We had a very filling starter of fish chowder plus a main course of whole corniche sole on the bone. It was all beautifully cooked although I would have preferred my green beans cooked a...lot more. The service was good if a little slow to start with. The place has a cosy comfortable atmosphere and we went away happy and very full! Looking forward to visiting again soon.More

I visited with my partner last night. We had been looking forward to visiting for a long time and we weren't disappointed. We had the soft shell crab which was beautifully cooked, it could have done with a bit more seasoning but that's my taste,...not the chefs fault. We had "the big one" platter and were very impressed. The lobster was cooked beautifully and the variety of fish was awesome. The presentation was lovely. We also had dessert which was amazing! My partner had the salt toffee sundae which tasted stunning and I had the apple and sloe gin crumble which was lovely. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was relaxed yet attentive. Nothing was too much but the staff were not intrusive. Considering the quality of the ingredients and the clear effort put into the homemade dishes it was value for money. It has been a long time since we have been out and enjoyed all 3 courses of a meal and felt comfortable and well looked after. I can be pretty picky and harsh when it comes to going out as an ex chef but we honestly have no complaints. Thank you guys for a lovely evening with delicious food. We will be back.More

Couldn't get booked in for the dinner sitting but really wanted to try so managed to book for lunchtime Had 'the big one' plus oysters, absolutely beautiful followed by affrogato with amaretto Definitely would recommend this restaurant

I visited here for the first time with my dad last week for Norfolk Restaurant Week. We were very impressed with the food and the service we received. The food was all flavourful. In fact, dad said his crumble was the best he'd ever tasted...when he's eaten out! High praise indeed. We both enjoyed the crab lasagne, and I also enjoyed my salted caramel sundae dessert. I personally also really liked the decor of the restaurant. We'll definitely be returning as we only live 20 minutes away!More

Excellent as always. Front of service is impeccable. My only criticism was too much butter on the french beans and fish but that is personal taste. Would strongly recommend and looking forward to visiting again for Norfolk Restaurant week.

Another amazing meal at Well’s Crab House. The amazing food and service is highlighted many times below. What I particularly want to note on top of this is the amazing care they take for people with dietary requirements. It is really difficult for coeliacs to...eat out safely and this restaurant is very clued up on ingredients, cross contamination and safe preparation. There is a separate GF menu and they will happily answer any questions you have. Thank you so much for another delicious and safe meal. I would recommend that everyone goes to Well Crab House but if you have coeliac disease, allergies or intolerances you especially should!! I enjoyed lobster, baked oysters (amazing!) and soft shell crab.More

We booked to go here and, 2 days before, read in a national newspaper that Wells Crab House had been just been voted no 1 restaurant in the whole of Britain! We've been there before, and weren't let down, as you'll see from the pics....The smoked eel bites as an appetizer were a nice surprise, as was the White port & tonic cocktail. Other things you'll see ar Trout truffles, Sri Lankan curry, Crab platter for one, more port & tonic, Orviatis greek white wine, mussels, and Spiced Cosmo. All excellent.More
