We were staying in Padstow and came here for breakfast twice during our stay. We tried the meaty B breakfast burritos and bacon and egg baps, everything is cooked fresh to order and is perfectly cooked. We sat outside both mornings with a hot Cornish tea or freshly made coffee and watches the world go by, It is fabulous, all staff are friendly too and check in with you to make sure everything was ok.

Bacon and egg bap x 2, hash brown and 2 coffees £16.10 and delicious too. We asked for well cooked bacon and it was spot on and very tasty, not plastic! Sitting outside at this tucked out of the way cafe and looking at the Camel Estuary in glorious sunshine... perfect holuday memory!

We had our breakfast almost everyday during our week in Padstow. We enjoyed our baps, I had bacon or sausage and my husband had hard fried egg cut in half baps. The lattes are always warm and tasty. All great value.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Bens Crib Box. On arrival the lovely Ali and Becky were on hand to welcome us, there were no tables available but we were made to feel welcome and took a seat outside in the sunshine looking out towards Rock. Once our table for 6 was available the magic began.
A lovely cup of tea and coffee to our friend whilst we ordered our food to be cooked fresh by the legend that is Ben. The meals are consistently served, best quality ingredients that are cooked to order. My wife likes her bacon extra crispy, it was delivered to the exact style requested. A mixture of naps and cooked breakfasts were delivered to a 5 star standard.
What a team at the Crib Box, lead by Ben and ably supported with Ali and Becky, we always have a laugh and brilliant food. A great recipe- keep it going team.👏🏻
A jewel in Padstow for great quality, freshly cooked food that is consistently delivered.

We queued to get in as we had heard the breakfast here was so nice and we came on a rainy day so outside seating not for us.
Food was delicious, we had a big breakfast, cheesy burrito (most perfectly packed burrito I’ve ever had) some bacon and sausage baps and hot drinks. All delicious and we even came back a couple of days later for another round. Thank you

You can keep your down nose silver service … get your self here… unassuming from the outside with the warmest of welcome from the staff and the hottest of breakfasts …. So so important.. who the hell wants a lukewarm sausage ? Oh er Mrs 😂. Cooked fresh to order .. sausage, 2 bacon , fried egg, beans, tomato and toast .. washed down with a proper mug a tea… highly recommended and next time we are close we will be back 😊😊

After a longish walk over from Wadebridge a breakfast was required. A sausage, bacon and egg butty was ordered and delivered with aplomb. Not the cheapest place for a fry up but given the tourist trap that is Padstow its to be expected.

My accommodation did not provide any breakfast and Ben's Crib Box was suggested as a place to eat. It did not disappoint (bacon and sausage bap was generously filled and much enjoyed plus good coffee) and the service was friendly. Perfect for anyone arriving or departing by bus too. Well done and thank you - and I look forward to returning.

Was able to establish by text that there was a good chance of a table for 8 for a brunch for extended family. The inside eating area was immaculate and had cool decor etc. The waitress was an absolute star and very friendly and helpful.. with all the various questions and requests..we had a variety of meals from the big breakfast to beans on toast to smoked salmon muffin. Smoothies, coffees and milkshakes. Had a lovely fresh meal and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back. Good luck x

We discovered Ben’s on our last visit to Padstow and we won’t go anywhere else for breakfast now. We visited every day this week - our annual trip to Padstow isn’t the same without a Ben’s breakfast to start the day!
The breakfasts are cooked to perfection (and we’ve sampled a fair few items on the menu!) and the quality of the ingredients is excellent.
The staff are friendly, attentive and approachable and all have a lovely manner.
A great concept with amazing food and brilliant staff. We will most definitely be returning!

Lovely little cafe if you want a nice lunch in a friendly atmosphere. The menu was great, coffees lovely. I ordered the chicken wrap which was delicious. My only criticism was that we waited quite a while for food and even the lady on the table who ordered much after ours got her food at almost the same time and she commented on our wait. I think we were just unlucky. Everything else was great and would definitely go back.

Been meaning to visit for ages but often end up visiting padstow on a Sunday when Ben’s Crib Box is closed.
Whilst we are yet to make it for a full breakfast we did get to try some amazing baps today.
Bacon crispy 👌 hogs pudding very good 👌 baps themselves fab - that makes SUCH a difference👌 and cooked eggs perfectly 👌 (hate crispy bottomed eggs)
Can’t wait to come back for a full breakfast or another bap at the next opportunity

Totally understand why this has a 5* review. The food was a totally unpretentious masterclass in the great British brunch, and great value too!! The fry up was spot on and the use of local ingredients of the highest quality admiral. Skip the local Stein chains, this is the real deal!

On a recent break to Cornwall, we were lucky enough to get a parking spot at the Railway Parking. On our return after a relatively longish day in the town, Ben's Crib Box seemed extremely inviting for a refreshing Chocolate Milkshake, particuarly as it was advertised as made with Ice Cream.
We were therefore expecting a thickish chocolate milkshake. What we got was a watery and relatively tasteless chocolate flavoured milk. Ohh! sorry there was a bit off froth..., likely to give the appearance of thick shake.
I suspect they used a teaspoon of ice cream in each and perhaps a couple of teaspoons of a popular children's chocolate shake powder.
If you like watery chocolate milkshakes, this place is for you, if however you want a thick ice cream made shake, you would be better off seeking in the harbour front.

We have been coming to Cornwall on holiday for over 10 years & have probably been going to Padstow almost every year but have never been able to be there when the cafe is open, either we were going off somewhere or it was closed because we had arrived late in the afternoon!
This year we made the effort to get there so I could have the breakfast and it was well worth the effort - easily the best breakfast I’ve had in absolutely ages and I’ll definitely be returning whenever I can for another.
A further benefit is that is that it is dog friendly & they allowed us to sit inside with our two.
