Third visit in a week! (we're local) Twice for lunch with visiting sister, and again this morning for my husband's birthday breakfast. We were given a warm welcome by the attentive team on each of our visits. The quality, quantity and presentation of food on...each occasion was spot on. The stunning view is just the cherry on the top! We treated ourselves to cake to take away (Apple, Walnut & Cinnamon) which was equally delicious. Excellent value and such a lovely experience from start to finish. Thank you! (P.S. The steak and stilton pasties from the adjoining farm shop are also superb!)More

During our week in this area we visited three times and on each occasion the food was exceptional. Today we arrived just after 4pm and were fully aware that the cafe closes at 5pm so felt , incorrectly as it transpired, that we would have...plenty of time to enjoy our Devonshire cream tea. Our scones were great and served very promptly. By 4.20pm it became very clear that the two young girls were ready to go home! Chairs were being stacked on tables all around us , a basket of washing appeared and then the mopping started! I have never eaten so quickly as we felt so incredibly uncomfortable. We left and were driving away in our car by 4.36pm Such a shame as this place had been our absolute favourite place all week but on this occasion they really let themselves down.More

We had the most wonderful time celebrating our belated birthdays in your marquee. The location was perfect for 4 generations of our family and the customer service was the best we have experienced for a very very long time. We were all so impressed with...the wonderful staff and their attention to detail. They ensured that our meal was truly enjoyable. Well done to everyone who is involved in giving such high-class service. There are many establishments that could learn from your training as you are clearly are  head and shoulders above most  in the area. The food ......so gorgeous. We all had something different (we came for breakfast / brunch) and nothing was too much trouble. I forgot to order my Mum's food and my husband explained to the staff that we had omitted her order, and within what seemed like minutes, she had a wonderful plate of steaming food in front of her. She is 86 and had lost her appetite until then. It's the first hearty meal I have seen her eat in a while. Sorry to go on but we were all so delighted with everything you offered and will rave about our experience for a very long time.  More

Fantastic little gem in Devon .🍳🍳🍳🍳 After travelling from Warrington overnight , this is the place we decided to go for breakfast .😀😀😀😃 And what an amazing breakfast we had . The quality of the food was outstanding , all locally produced . Lovely waitress...Dasiy was so cheerful and helpful . Loved chatting with you Dasiy .😀😀😀 Would definitely return , well done 👏 to everyone at Valley View Cafe . Just before we went on our way to our holiday destination , we called into the farm shop to pick up some shopping , outstanding, spotless , and a wonderful selection of meat , veg , pasties and more . First off wow the place was very messy and as I ordered food I felt rushed from the person taking my order then when I actually got the food it had mayonnaise on the burger which was not listed as one of the ingredients which...is a high known allergy and should have been listed next was the texture of the fries they felt like cardboard and tasted terrible the chicken was chewy and still a little pink so I didn't eat it but this place needs to get themselves into order before they kill someone their food hygiene rating is a 5/5 but should be a 1 out of 5 absolutely disgusting and disgraceful will not be returningMore

We visited this morning for breakfast. It was terrible weather with heavy rain and storms, and we thought it would be quiet. Not so, we had to wait a short while for a free table, but we didn’t wait long. The breakfast was absolutely delicious,...as was the coffee too. We are only sorry it is the last day of our holiday otherwise we would definitely be back. A tip to anyone travelling there, DO NOT follow your Sat Nav, just stick to the main route. We had a very hair raising trip along many single track roads, and found it was completely unnecessary! Lesson learned!More

Restored my faith in a proper Devon Cream Tea. Freshly baked fruit scones, warm from the oven with lashings of clotted cream and strawberry jam. Best cream tea I have had for many years, as so many scones are stodgy. But certainly not these !...Excellent.More

Good food but cold. We had breakfast in the draughty marquee, the food was good but served on cold plates. Biggest fault was the door, everytime a waitess came in they left it open. It was a breezy day and we took it in turns...with other tables to shut the door which became a bit of fun. Tables very uncomfortable, too small.More

The only thing to do in Loddiswell… so yeh it’s fairly decent with nice views and a marquee for when the weather turns. Quite windy tho!

Incredible food, beautiful view, excellent value and friendly service. What more could you want? We really enjoyed it.

Such a lovely place, food was the best we have tasted for the last 2 weeks of visiting Devon and Cornwall. Homley, helpful, and a fantastic view, what can I say. Thank you. Anyone in the Kingsbridge area find this spot, and you won't be...disappointed.More
