We often visit when we are in Yelverton and pre-ordered over 20 pasties and sausage rolls for my son's football team's sponsored bike ride. Best pasties and sausage rolls you can buy.

Whilst visiting my eldest & partner, they usually drag us up to Yelverton for a Game Larder special. Today was a full roast in a box - pulled pork and super tender beef with all the trimmings. Tip - have a carrier bag to rest...on as the boxes can become a little soft as you eat out. There’s also eat in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️More

After a long walk around Burrator and Sheepstor I stopped off for a pasty. How ever….my eyes were diverted to the sign advertising pulled pork baps and my decision was made….no pasty for me!!! 😂 It was to die for….succulent pulled pork on a bed...of stuffing, layered with crackling and apple sauce finished off with roasties! Y😋 😋 😋 What’s not to like?!! Absolutely delicious!! And great service from a young chatty girl. I can’t wait to return and my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! Thank you!More

I visited The Game Larder. Yelverton Devon today around lunchtime. Apart from the food being overpriced, I climbed up the steep step to pay at the till for 2 pieces of quiche. As I began walking out of the shop, I failed to notice this...steep step and took a very heavy fall, injuring and cutting my left forearm very badly! It was bleeding profusely and my husband had to rush me home to treat the bad cut. I spent the rest of the afternoon in great pain as I twisted my left leg and left hand also. Surely there could have been some sort of rail to hold onto and I sincerely hope that more customers of The Game Larder have not suffered the same fate as me!! My day was absolutely ruined! I definitely won’t be visiting again!!More

We had been out for a lovely walk and were very hungry on our return and decided to pop in. We had fajita wraps with nachos and they were delicious. We also tried the yoghurt coated blackberry flapjack which were also well cooked and hit...the spot. Service was great. An enjoyable and tasty visitMore

After finishing a charity walk on Dartmoor stopped at this gorgeous deli for a delicious cup of coffee. Cakes and pies look lush so will make a return visit to try out some of those treats. The staff were absolutely fabulous! We'd not booked a...taxi back to our hotel and basically we were stuck with no cabs available for hours and no buses. A special shout out to Kitty who showed genuine concern and kindness and came to our rescue. A heartfelt thank you Kitty, your thoughtfulness was very much appreciated and a big thank you also for your fab Dad!More

Pleased to find that despite the ups and downs of COVID stumbling blocks, the GK has kept it together, so after a long trek with the dog on the moor, so useful to take away an excellent roast, a Thai chicken pasty and a vegetable...pasty. For completeness some slices of cherry shortcake. Good value. Steady flow of customers and a queue but we were able park easily and close.More

I have popped in to the game larder twice in the last month after an early morning walk. Both times I’ve had snacks and coffee, both times everything has been delicious! The service is great too. Will definitely be going back :-) x

Normally get a good portion of meat and potatoes with crackling and apple sauce as I can’t eat the bread or stuffing This time I seem to have been served half a normal portion and still charged the full amount Very dissatisfied and won’t return

Despite the current restrictions due to COVID, I still venture out for the occasional breakfast or lunch from The Game Larder Yelverton. The food is always freshly cooked. The menu varies day to day for lunches. It is by far the best quality food in...the area. The staff are beyond helpful, and always take the time to ensure your order is as you want it. Mega thumbs up from me 👍🏻More
