After visiting Lyme Regis for the last 9 summers this is by far my favourite pub/restaurant in the town. It has a lovely relaxed and cosy atmosphere and the food is always of a very high quality, with some awesome specials, all at very reasonable prices. A solid selection of Palmers ales could be complemented by some craft beers. The... More

Food took two hours to arrive, when it did it was cold, wasn't particularly good, fish and chips tasted of grease, and wasn't exactly decently priced. Staff and ale were decent, nothing else to get excited about! I couldn't wait to leave.

Traditional pub with a gastro twist to the menu, food cooked fresh and plenty of variety on the menu. Friendly service, well kept beer and the bonus of a netted area outside to keep the seagulls from attacking.

The rear patio/garden is part covered and faces the beach. An ideal place to enjoy their frsehly cooked food, including local fish and crab.

I am really full of praise for this gastro pub. We will definitely be going back! The pub itself is pretty typical in appearance but it's very well placed for the attractions of Lyme, it's clean and welcoming. All the food was ordered was excellent; portions a good size and all delicious. Recommended!

Lovely week in Lyme on holiday. Couple of very good eveing meals in the Standard. Lovely steaks and also Greek Meze and Souvlacki. (although think the prices have gone up from last time we were there) Every thing was well cooked and seasoned and the staff were very welcoming. We also had lunch there during the week with the family... More

Stopped for lunch and had really good fish and chips - freshly cooked and nicely presented. Can eat outside but looked like rain so ate inside - a little dark but cosy. Promptly and politely served.

Visited on Saturday for lunch managed to get a table outside which was quite busy, very good menu and excellent specials board. Polite and attentive staff ordered at the bar The ribs and souvlaki food came quickly considering they were busy. Ribs were delicious and a very large portion I could not finish them, souvlaki was a little small but... More

We drank there one night and left a mobile behind. The following morning I sent a txt to the phone asking if anyone found it to ring. A cleaner rang to say he had found it and left it behind the bar for us. Thank you Scott we hope you got the reward we left you. We have eaten here... More
