Came here for lunch with a friend and our children and sat outside in the summer. Really nice atmosphere, local and friendly. The salads are incredible! Well worth having, will definitely be returning in the future.

Sampled several of the "Small Plates and Nibbles" selection at the Woodpecker - ample food for two, a really lovely selection and a great way to share a supper with a bottle of the Rioja next to the open fire.

It used to be good here at one time, top of the ladder, now at the bottom and digging a hole. Went today, Thursday, to be told 'No Food' and from tomorrow onward shared platter only, I don't think so!

Only one high chair available. The excuse given was that they were ‘not that busy.’ Not sure I find this a good enough excuse! So no night chair for my son as it was already in use. Sunday lunch was frankly dreadful. Roast beef was...More

We arrived to a very warm welcome and to find an extremely clean pub. However, we both found the food very disappointing. I had a totally tasteless burger with unappetising chips. On the plus point fantastic onion rings. My husband had eggs like bullets with...More

We called in on the way home tonight, asked at the bar if they were serving food, the reply was yes. Were later told after we'd ordered our drinks that they were running low on food but could probably manage fish and chips? Very disappointedly...More
