The pub was very busy and the staff, I have to say, were lovely. I ordered crab linguine, but what I was served I can only describe as looking like a spaghetti bolognaise with mince. I started to eat it, but it tasted strange and...the crab (that looked like browned mince) was hard. I ate it because I'm not a crab connoisseur and thought that maybe this was how it should be. However, I had to mix it with tomato sauce to make it edible. Within an hour of eating it I was violently ill at the hotel we were staying in (Samuel Pepys - along the road from the Alma). I did send a message to the Alma the next day on their website page, but did not get a response. Would not recommend this place.More
