We have visited on a few occasions now as we've moved fairly close to the Old Prison. We are always made to feel very welcome, the staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable and they make a delicious hot chocolate. Definitely a favourite place for a drink and a snack.

We stopped here for a warm up and found it to be a very nice cafe with good surroundings. You don't need to visit the prison to go in. The only downside was the sausage rolls were still lukewarm after 3 attempts to warm it up. We shall return when passing next tine.

This is a large area served by the café and adjacent to the old prison attraction. There is a choice of normal tables or sofas, and there is a lot of information on display about local attractions. I had coffee and cake, but there are also some light lunches available. It was not busy, and I was able to enjoy... More

Visited on our way to Dorset, had lovely cake & coffee. Quick tour of the prison & display, bearing in mind donation only, it was excellent value. Really friendly staff 5*

This has been a regular stop on our way through the Cotswolds and up to now has been excellent. This time, NOT so ! The coffee was lukewarm (we can live with that. ) but the scones were well past their sell-by date and would not have been out of place on a cricket pitch! When questioned, the assistant said that... Great sandwich and pot of tea for lunch, very pleasant service, lovely location. Warm fire in the grate on a snowy winter day, perfect.

I stopped by this cafe after being in the area and went up to the counter to order. The young man was struggling to make two hot drinks so I waited until he asked if he could help me. I asked for a toasted cheese sandwich and was told they only do cheese on toast. I just looked at him... More

Situated in the Old Prison Leachfield this delightful Cafe is a real find with plenty of parking . You can visit the Discovery centre and the Old Prison. In a lovely light room looking out on the prison quadrangle. We had delicious home made scones and lattes . The lunch menu looked interesting but it was late afternoon ...so perhaps... More

We stopped off for a light lunch whilst on a walking trip. It was fairly quiet at 2pm on a Sunday and we were served quickly. We all had different sandwiches which were tastly and well presented and there was an interesting soft drink selection (plum presse was excellent). The was an exhibition of old farm machinery outside and the... More
