What a brilliant pub - great beers on draught, lovely ploughman's lunch and friendly service, with a cosy atmosphere. On leaving, noticed they had a lovely beer garden too. We'll be back again.

The pub was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our piping hot food to be served. Although busy the staff were very tentative to our needs. There were 7 of us and all senior citizens, so a really special afternoon.

Lovely cosy well maintained pub. Nice lunch menu - fairly small but wanted everything! Had the delicious salmon and courgette linguine. Other meals on the table that looked great were the pie and sausage and mash. The Pinot Grigio blush is excellent. Really enjoyable.

Went for the Christmas meal. Another truly great and faultless and fun experience. We were a table of 4, the atmosphere was smashing. I never expect too much from a Christmas dinner but this was exceptional through all the courses. I was full after the...main course but managed to eat the Christmas pud which was superb, probably the best I have ever had. The hosts entertained us with games and as ever the crew Will, Em etc showed a fun and professional approach. Thank you, you made our weekend.More

Wow, what more could you ask for? I stopped listening when she said ‘beef stew’. Ok, i’m a big lad but the steak was big, chunky, tender and plentiful and tasty. I just managed to eat it all. £10, excellent value. Loads of good beers...to pick from and table service for beers. Brilliant. The pub is traditional and to be honest if you can fault this then you have made a wrong choice. An excellent pub.More

We had lunch here on Tuesday (Ploughman’s Plate and Mediterranean Grazing Board) and it was absolutely delicious. My only criticism is that the meals were so generous we didn’t have room for pudding. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

We went for lunch as a large family group and because of traffic some of us were late but the staff were great and told us it was no problem. Throughout our visit all the staff were efficient and really friendly and helpful, the food...was great and we all said it was an excellent place to eat and drink. Thoroughly enjoyable and would happily returnMore
