My daughter and husband decided to have home made pie, plenty of meat and massive portions, very good value for money. Hates of to the chef.... More

Great village pub with good ale and lunch time menu. Old world atmosphere in the heart of Uley village.

We were with friends who had a young baby and the lady owner kindly showed us how to work the changing table and asked if we needed help. When our food came she offered to rock him in the pram... We spent a lovely evening at the Old Crown as our daughter was getting married at Kingscote Barn. We wanted somewhere to eat and this place fitted the bill. We almost took over the pub for the evening. The food we pre ordered, the service was so slick, it arrived hot and so fast considering our party was almost 30+.... More

The title is not a reference to the food - which was nice - but the fact the place lets unlimited numbers of dogs in the restaurant area while people are eating. Our first time there, and we were having a lunch on Sunday. We were only in the restaurant area for 15m before we were surrounded by two separate... More

Excellent local Uley beer and what is probably the best old style pub grub around. At first after our walk around Uley Bury hill fort s bit disappointed with the standard ham ,eggs and chips fare but in fact it was wonderful think chunks of ham off the bone home made chips and a perfect egg. Similarly Uley sausage and... More
