Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We visited Della Casa with my Mum as we had promised to take her there for a while.
After being warmly greeted at the door we were taken to our table and drinks and food orders were taken promptly.
The food courses arrived and presentation was perfect. Mum and I had the Tricolore salad and my fiancé had meatballs. These arrived vibrant with colour and full of flavor.
The main courses were piping hot and full of wonderful flavor also, as they could be smelled before they reached the table!
We finished our meals with AffoGato, Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.
We have visited Della Casa several times and never had a bad meal. Food is cooked and presented very quickly and the waiting staff are very attentive and helpful.
If you fancy some tasty Italian cuisine, go to Della Casa you will not be disappointed!

Ordered a takeaway meal upon recommendation as wanted something nice to celebrate our anniversary.
Husband had the Sofia pizza and I had the Calzone with salad. Both dishes tasted incredible - very speedy delivery (30 mins) and polite staff. Will be ordering again!

I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant close by that was not in the city and found this little gem. I was lucky enough to get a table for 2 at last minute and was not disappointed. Despite been busy, the service was very good as with family run restaurants. The food came out quick, was hot and delicious. The prawns starter was excellent and the breads equally so. The pasta dishes were tasty and just the right amount, we felt very pleased and full after 2 courses. Got selection of Italian wines too. Definitely will come here again and would highly recommend it.

We go here relatively often and last night was one of our worst trips. The service was poor, far to infrequent with us and many other diners seeking out staff for drinks etc. The price of the food has increased. Just shy of £15 for a very small portion of spaghetti and meal balls is more than I would expect for this type of restaurant. Our party ordered 2 lasagne ( one adult, one child) - very salty, mostly sauce and much lower quality than we would expect. Hopefully this is a one off

They mucked up our meals by getting the order wrong twice!!!! When you are spending over £100 for a family meal you expect the staff to take down the order correctly and you expect them to deliver what is on the menu. We had loads of excuses from them. They said they’ll get it right next time - well we aren’t coming back!

Had a birthday party here for 5 children and 8 adults. Gave them food choice for each person apart from 2 when ordered on night to keep surprise going.
2 children has similar to spagbog. Both left it as was so dry. Had to order pizza for them instead. Looked as if precooked too early and just dried out made worse when reheated.
I had mussels which were absolutely terrible. Been boiled for what must have been 30 minutes or again precooked and then heated up again. No meat left just the skin . Couldnt scoop anything out. Collected the mussels and gave to the waitress who quickly took them away. Nobody came over to discuss. A good facility would be straight over. When i went to pay the bill I asked about the musseles and he said they cant help how they come in !!! what a joke. They come in perfect. Its how you overcooked them. He was not very receptive and said he had taken the cost of the mussels off the bill which was probably 50p. Almost as if they had given the chef the night off and he had cooked it lunch time. I would hate to think a qualified chef would send this terrible food out for paying customers or is this normal fayre. Avoid at all costs. Had a take away when first opened and vowed never to return. Should had listened to myself. I have spoken to many local people who have also had issues and will never return. Dursley expect better.

Rang to give orders and told ready in twenty minutes whilst visiting friends at Woodland House B&B. Very nice variety - my Lasagne was a very concentrated tomato taste and the proprietor of the B&B enjoyed his steak, done to his taste. It was great to order something different to the norm and the staff were very friendly who took the order and service too - in spite of me losing my way at one point having never been in Dursley town centre before!

We regularly visit here and have takeaways most weeks and it has never, ever disappointed. The food is fresh, tasty, homely and consistent. Two dining in meals recently have been excellent; salmon wrapped in Parma ham with lentils followed by tiramisu (divine!) and steak with dolce latte sauce and the most delicious chips (and salad). Both occasions we started with their delicious olives and bread. House Pinot Grigio very good as is the bottle of Prosecco. Really friendly, lovely staff. Really recommended, we couldn’t be without it ! Children’s menu really good too and includes nice ice cream with wafer.

This place is great. The food is wonderful. We popped in with no reservation hoping to eat on what looked like quite a busy Monday evening. We got a nice table for 2 in the window. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable in terms of ‘distancing’. The waiter was cheerful and helpful. My husband are a really nice, chicken Caesar salad and I had the house specialty risotto, which was really generous with huge prawns and sea bass. I made a wrong choice of wine and was offered a different wine on the house. I felt that the staff really wanted us to enjoy ourselves. We did. We would definitely return and recommend this restaurant unreservedly.

We usually have decent, tasty food here but tonight wasn’t great. We ordered a kids lasagne and adults lasagne, it was extremely salty and swimming in oil, the kids portion was ridiculously small which wasn’t a bad thing as it was too salty for my 6yr old so didn’t want to eat it. The staff were very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for food or drinks just not good quality food tonight which was a shame.

My partner and I booked this restaurant having checked in to a nearby hotel and being thoroughly disappointed with their reduced COVID menu. It was a 4 star hotel offering burgers, fish finger sandwiches and pizza for evening meal!! The experience at the restaurant was superb from start to finish. The food was amazing, the service excellent and despite having to implement COVID distancing, the atmosphere was very good. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and would certainly return if back in this neck of the woods again. The seafood risotto is to die for

Great restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. We were a big group of 10 family, including two children, celebrating my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. The team were extremely helpful in accommodating menu preferences & the meals were delicious. We were visiting family but when local again I would certainly like to come to Della Casa for a meal out.

We passed the restaurant during a visit to Dursley earlier in the day and so decided to take a risk and book for dinner. I booked online with no problem at all. We arrived, but it did seem like either the booking hadn't been picked up or it hadn't logged on the system, but the server let us feel like it wasn't a problem and showed us to a table. We noticed the tables had good distance between each other, so it felt like you could have a good conversation without being heard by nearby tables. It was early evening and already the restaurant was half full, which felt like a good sign. All the staff were friendly and courteous and they came to apologise for the delay in our drinks arriving, owing to a large party being served upstairs. This was fantastic communication because it set our expectation and we then felt relaxed knowing everything was under control. The menu was extensive and the food was absolutely delicious - our compliments to the chef - and the portion sizes very generous. We underestimated the amount of food and so the staff were happy to box up what we couldn't eat, to take home. The wine list was perfect and well priced. All in all, our experience was excellent and I would recommend Della Cassa. The style of the restaurant is contemporary, but if there was to be a note of recommendation, it would be to have some sort of soft furnishings such as curtains and/or cushions to absorb the noise. We found that even though the tables had a good distance between, the acoustics of the room were harsh. We really struggled to have a conversation because we felt like we were competing with other diners. In the end we pretty much gave up chatting as it was too much like hard work. Such a small addition would make a massive difference. If we ever return to this part of the country, we will be sure to revisit.

Ate here whilst staying in Dursley. Located just off the main high street this restaurant offers excellent food in a very comfortable setting. We had the gluten free pasta bolognaise which was delicious and the sea bass with prawns, again excellent. Staff were very friendly and would definitely recommend if in the area.

We have had several meals here and everything has been excellent. As we always try to support local businesses we decided to book our Golden Wedding celebration at the Della Casa. The function room looked amazing, decorated with golden balloons, the staff were more than helpful, we had invited the "Singing Waiters" to entertain our guests, they were provided with everything they needed.
The food, as always, was excellent, as was the wine.
Thanks to Steve, his Mum and all the staff. Our special day was amazing.
