The food is of a high standard, decent portion sizes and good value for money. The food arrived promptly and was piping hot.

Decided at last minute after food shop to stop for refreshment. I ventured upstairs where my order for coffee & cake was taken and served very promptly. The quality of both was very good although a little expensive

Went for coffee and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate definitely was not hot and chocolate had not been thoroughly mixed in. Coffee was also only warm. Very disappointed

Absolutely loved the coffee, probably the best I've tasted. Breakfast was really good, I had bacon sandwich and my partner had full english. Only qualm is that some items are a little pricey. I would guess their target market is mostly high end. Nice for a treat though. Cakes looked fantastic, but i did abstain so unable to revirw these... More

This bakery has the bread and cake counter downstairs, and a café with table service upstairs. Result, if you want a coffee and cake, you first have to attract the attention of the not very competent waiter/waitress upstairs. They then prepare the coffee upstairs and try to get cake upstairs from below. Shambles ensues. As a branch of the well-hyped... More

Visited on the morning before hols as breakfast treat. Service was pleasant, and more efficient than it was a year or so back. The food was fabulous, just simple, well cooked, excellent quality products. Well worth paying that little bit more.

I have only ever had the lunch time sandwiches to take away, but they are my favourite! They do a great meal deal made up of a sandwich with crisps and a drink, much fresher and tastier than a supermarket meal deal for any locals looking for somewhere to get their lunch!

Tricky staircase access if you have mobility problems, but once upstairs a friendly welcome, quick service, good coffee, and great dishes off an interesting menu awaits. Oh yes, and on your way out you can stock up on great breads, cakes and pastries to take home!!

Called in here for breakfast at 8.15 before a day out. The service was really good and the breakfast sandwiches were very nice indeed. Five of us ate and all agreed that the food was really good. We had bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches and eggs on toast (poached, scrambled or fried) and all on wonderful sherston bread that tasted like... More

Description
Our Bistro menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West, making best use of Hobbs House Bakery's handmade bread and wood fired oven. We have a focus on the carefully sourced; everything is bought directly from the producers and cooked with real care and imagination. We put a a strong focus on the traditional cuts of meat from our butchery alongside fish that may have fallen from favour, but lack nothing in flavour. We serve great teas and coffee from local roasters Extract. This is all complemented by a selection of local ales and ciders as well as our comprehensive wine list, put together by Nailsworth-based Raffles Wine. "Hobbs House has become one of the jewels in Nailsworth's crown", Gloucestershire Echo
